A nice and simple rule is like hens teeth’s. you only need to break the goal line for a TD yet to bring the ball out of the end zone you need to get the whole ball over the line.

    Isn't that consistent though?

American football must be the only sport you can watch for 35 years and still not know all the rules!

how's number 51 for GB allowed to play with a whole hand covered in a cast or club as the comms were calling it?

    what's his injury?

Probably a broken hand/thumb. It does look strange but I've seen it often enough in the NFL.

A huge disadvantage for any defensive player to be playing one-handed like that though.

Because that’s allowed. The club or cast is checked prior to the game to make sure there’s nothing that shouldn’t be in there. It wasn’t beyond teams to put metal in there in the past. Broken hand or something like that.

Buccs in a tough spot here. Didn't want to use their timeout before the 2mw.

If they make a stop on 2nd to leave third and long you better believe they'll be taking a timeout.

I wouldn’t say consistent but when you think about it it kind of makes sense. I’ve been watching it for 21 years and I’m the same on some rules.

Hes a decent target if you want to chance something to gain yardage on 3rd down but not risk an interception

should have been called a false start on that 3rd down I though on the LT

Terrible time management here?? Could have been quicker with snaps or take some time out

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

Thought that was weird clock management by both teams.

And why are the buccs taking a timeout here...? It can't help them.

Some of the sideline stories are cringe of the highest order.

Tom Rinaldi's grounbreaking story of how Za'Darius Smith saw the greatest ever example of leadership when Rodgers told the team after the Rams game that there was 12 quarters to achieve their goals - 4 of them just done, 4 next week to get the Super Bowl and then the Super Bowl itself.

I, for one, am in awe of Rodger's grasp of senior infants-level basic maths and would run through a brick wall for him.

He did look to move a bit early but maybe the lineman flinched.

Reply to my own post, but I suppose if they were planning on intercepting Rodgers it was a good idea!

didn't make much difference with the int just after

I think that is the American equivalent of taking "one game at a time"

That half really flew by!

No flags either in the entire half if I remember correctly?

Should the Buccs punt here? If they have a 5/6 second play it worth a go

No but the refs should be calling what they see.

In fairness "do your job" and one snap/game at a time are pretty trite but are fairly effective mindsets when players buy-in.

    God that was terrible coverage.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,702 ✭✭✭MileHighGuy

    Holy hell. Fair play.

    New York Jets Defense?

Good call by Arians. Miller's like lightning

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,113 ✭✭✭cosatron

F**k sake. That's terrible terrible defence

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,150 ✭✭✭✭LuckyGent88

Horrendous defending though. That was a terrible two minutes from GB. Terrible clock manage my when they had the ball, should have intercepted the ball and then that brutal defending

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,546 ✭✭✭Masked Man

Might require a Brady like performance from Rodgers to win this.

I really want the Bucs to lose but have to say they're very entertaining to watch.
