They don't have the numbers, and crazy militia types who want to do battle with the sitting government is far, far, far from a new thing in the USA. Of course they're going to keep on coming up with new phony dates on when Trump will be reinstated as president because there's an industry around QAnon with bumper stickers to sell. People like Flynn don't believe what they're saying for a minute, but it's a handy political wave for them to ride.

And unfortunately for the types of people who participated in the Jan 6th insurrection and supporters of same, the FBI will, if they're any good at their job whatsoever, be monitoring relevant channels of communication 24/7 - Gab, Telegram, Parler etc.

And Trump has few friends in Washington who'd even want him back. Even the crazies among the Republicans don't want him back so much as they want to take over that voting base for themselves.

Pretty tame going by some of the emails they were sending just before the election, practically claiming they'd tell Trump directly that you were a traitor and supported the socialist Democrats and China, and that Trump was asking specifically whether you still supported him or not

He's probably too busy getting ready to become President again in August, which will definitely happen unlike the other times they claimed he'd re-take office which didn't happen because reasons. But this August one definitely will.

Obviously people do care because he remains the spiritual leader of the Republican party and has given full voice to a proudly crass section of the American electorate, and similar minded people around the world. Also, even if it were an option to forget about him, it would be the wrong thing to do, i.e. those who forget history are doomed to repeat it, so let us take the example of Trump and hold him up as how a leader should not be.
