Agreed - It's happened several times now where investigative Journalists hold back really important stuff for the book rather than have it on the front-page when it happened (or when they found out).

Stuff like this along with all the other information that has come out in various books about the Trump administration should have been seen much much earlier.

    In other news.

Mark Meadows , Trumps former Chief and Staff who is already under investigation for potential voter fraud would appear to have been registered to vote not just in North Carolina at a house he never lived in , but was also simultaneously registered to vote in Virginia AND South Carolina.

He and his wife were registered in 3 separate States simultaneously and cast votes in at least 2 States (N.C. for the 2020 Election and Virginia for the recent GOP Gubernatorial Primary).

Guess what his current job is , post Trump White House??

He is a Senior Partner at the "Conservative Partnership Institute" whos main focus is Election Integrity and who says things like -

The organization’s “citizen’s guideurges activists to determine that the registrations of their neighbors are legal by checking on “whether voters have moved, or if the registrations are PO Boxes, commercial addresses or vacant lots” and then “obtaining evidence: photos of commercial buildings? Vacant lots?” and “securing affidavits from current residents that a registered voter has moved.”

Which based on what we now know appears to just be a list of some of the ways Mark Meadows and his wife potentially committed Voter Fraud.

EVERYTHING they whine about is an admission of their own guilt , everything.

But that's the thing; it's not unbelievable to those Americans who want to believe it. We live in a post truth world where satire is dead and you can live in your own reality if you want. It doesn't matter what the actual truth is to those who support the Trump/Republicans anymore, they will find their own truth.

Exactly - You can guarantee that there will be next to zero coverage of this story on Fox et al . It certainly won't get mentioned by any of the talking heads.

If they covered the original McCarthy statement refuting(lying about) the allegations they will absolutely not cover the fact based rebuttal proving him to be a liar.

So McCarthys exposure as a lying hypocrite will really only be seen by people that already think that of him anyway.

I get your point, but do you really think it would make any difference? The facts are pretty well known, these are just even more nails in the coffin. But anybody that is still on Trumps side is going to brush this off. Case in point being McCarthy himself.

With the possibility of there being even more tapes, you might wonder what the committee already knows and how that might effect how honest those appearing before them might be

That is definitely the case in terms of the polarisation of opinions , but some of the stuff that came out in books should have come out before the Election and might have swung a few more seats in the House/Senate away from the GOP which would have been beneficial.

I guess it's just the idea of them holding back stories for their personal benefit rather than that of the public is what irks.

Imagine if Woodward and Bernstein had decided to hold back the Watergate story for a book deal instead of putting on the Front page of the newspaper?

Trump's pals rip off Trump supporters

Not a ****ing peep from any of them on here

  • Moderators, Politics Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators Posts: 15,546 Mod ✭✭✭✭Quin_Dub

Yep.. And Bannon left them high and dry , he took his money and got his pardon from Trump and continues to pontificate on his podcast all the while knowing that he STOLE money from his so called MAGA friends.

The entire movement is a scam designed exclusively to generate cash for its leaders.

Isn't it incredible that anyone who comes on here to defend 45 either spirals into abusive posting and gets banned, or sh1tposts and doesn't respond to legitimate counter arguments, or basically agrees with 45 on one thing and couldn't give two sh1ts about egregious acts of his or his cronies.

Not one poster can come on here and argue in good faith. Not one.

Another tape has come out, of McCarthy both blaming Trump for Jan 6th, but also that Trump himself acknowledged that his words and actions means he bears some responsibility for it.

    Saw this comment online...

She seems to be okay at remembering things when the answer is BLM or Antifa. Funny that.

They can't even come up with a legitimate reason to have a go at 46, which is the usual attempt at diversion.

Must be like being a Man Utd fan these days. Best keep the head down and hope it'll all blow over soon.

Not too far back I posted that many republicans have copped on to the fact that many of their fans are malignant morons and they are gleefully exploiting that fact.

I stand 100% behind that statement.

I am, in fact, a little disappointed by her. If she was serious about being a true QAnon politician, she should have maintained that she never said that, the video is fake and it was faked by CNN.

"I'm not a Trump supporter, but..." is the new "I'm not a racist, but...".

MTG has a terrible memory it seems from the video of her testifying under oath.

I’d say Donald trump Jr was watching this and taking notes.

I think it was the Trump ambassador to the Netherlands who took that approach. Claimed he never insulted the country and they played the tape. Kept denying it anyway.

Well, y'see, trump's people love that term (Along with their other gem "Alternative facts") as a catch all.

    • Intentional lies from trump/GOPski party
    • Intentional manipulation of information by trump/GOPski
    • Even accidental misinformation by trump/GOPski

They can then use this to squirm out of any corner: "No, that thing you just said is incorrect. That's 'Fake News'". Then, when it's proven correct, they can say "No, we never said that didn't happen. We said it is Fake News

    • Trump has a history of sexual assault "Fake News". What about the audio of him boasting about his sexual assault? What about the court cases? "Wait, we never said that didn't happen. We said it was Fake News"
    • Trump lost the election "Fake News". What about all the cases to overthrow election results? Every. SINGLE. ONE. thrown out of court/lost "Wait, we never said he won the election. We said Fake News"

These people have no credibility. They thought that their New World Order (Really Old World Order. Where women were in the kitchen, pregnant, n****rs had no voice and f*ggots were deviant paedophiles that should be locked up. The good old days) were here to stay. They could say what they want and lie. and do whatever they wanted because they would brand every different voice, every conflicting report as "Fake News". What did trump call free media? Enemy of the people?... Hmmmmm..... Have heard THAT term used before. These sycophants saw what needed to be done and did it. If they had ANY human decency or empathy, they sold it to suck up to trump. Now this is what they stand for. This is what the GOPski stands for. The rest, like MTG are, quite simply, disgusting creatures. And they have found a home in GOPski party.

    So they lie.

    They cheat

They lie to ones face ABOUT their lies.

    They incite murder

They support, promote and encourage hate groups

They support, encourage, promote and cheer-on dictators

They support, encourage, promote and cheer-on enemies of their country.

They instigate riots and threaten the lives of political opponents.

I mean, I don't think even their most vocal klan members here can deny that GOPski members will do ANYTHING, legal or illegal, to gain power. There is simply no way to deny it. Once they get into power then they can simply promote this message on fox and so-called "christian" channels (Although this is quite a different christianity promoted by... y'know... christ). They then simply brand this as "fake News" everywhere else. Using the term "Fake News" is NOT a denial. Unless they want it to BE a denial.

So they do what they need to, to get into power. By WHATEVER means. And they will look people in the eye when caught doing thee hateful things and call it "Fake News"(Again, NOT a denial). If his klan can mention ONE truly altruistic thing trump (in office or out) or GOPski has done since 2016 I will retract this. One TRULY altruistic thing that did not benefit trump or his cohorts. And don't even start with his "tax breaks" that benefitted the rich more than the poor. Something that GENUINELY benefitted people other than him/his cohorts/donors/sycophants.

The clip you were remembering is this:

And then... They hide when they have no answers.
