Stefanovich... It would be much appreciated if you would answer this. Was the election stolen?

Incitement is what need to be proven. Irrelevant.

You cannot say to watch in context and ignore the lack of context in the video that the defense used that was literally just clips of people saying fight or fight like hell.

It proves that fight in a political speech does not mean violence.

No, it's very relevant and with this response you've answered my question, thanks!

I’m not your researcher and I hadn’t even looked yet.

When you make a proclamation, you cite where you read it, that's what's done round here as it's a forum of facts not rhetoric and conjecture. If you want the latter you can head off to the conspiracy forums, you'll find more of your like voices there

It proves that fight in a political speech does not mean violence.

Not quite. It proves that it doesn't have to mean violence.

In this case it certainly did, because many of those involved have stated that is exactly what they were doing.

Ah, so you are in fact referring to this and you do in fact not know what you're talking about.

So the answer to this statement
They actually suggested at one point the onus was on him to prove innocence. You couldn’t make this up.

is yes. You can indeed make this up.

You gotta wonder based on the videos etc that we have seen how long before there is a civil case by the families of the police officers against trump.

It proves that fight in a political speech does not mean violence.

It proves, that BLM/Antifa don't listen to Congress/senator's when they say "fight" to go and try to insurect a government, it at the same time proves the sheep lay on the right side of politics that they take the words of a man like it is gospel..

On the grim reaper voting to aquit here, it makes his speech all the more sickening after what he said about Goodman yesterday getting the medal.

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,982 ✭✭✭MeMen2_MoRi_

Donnie's words can be taken out of this case and he would still look/be guilty by his lack of action on the day! Lack of action is also inciting the actions of what went on by his supporters.

Mccarthy was voting against recognising the EC votes only a few hpurs later.

Ans a few days was happily posing for photographs with Trump in Mar-a-Lago.

The response to Trump on the call was nothing more than a brief emotional response to the situation, one that I am sure he has deeply apologised to Trump for losing his temper.

There was reports that McCarthy went down to Mar a Lago to ask Trump for his donor list as a quid pro quo for backing him. He kissed the ring but ultimately Trump refused and McCarthy left empty handed.

Found it remarkable yesterday to see Senate Republicans giving Capitol police officer Goodman a standing ovation for him leading the mob away from those very same senators. And today those Rep senators will vote to acquit Trump for literally causing the riot that ended up in the death of Officer Sickman and later the suicide of two other police officers. The hypocrisy is just dripping off the Republican party at this stage.

The most damning lies (of many) told by Trump's defence team in my opinion were the following:

Claim: Trump's lawyers claimed he never knew Pence was in danger.
Fact: Trump called a Republican senator during the Capitol storming and that senator told him what was going on, including telling him specifically that they had to move Pence.

    https://theweek.com/speedreads/966819/trumps-lawyers-claim-never-knew-pence-danger-republican-senator-said-otherwise

    Claim:
Trump's first tweets once the storming was underway were ones calling for calm and non-violence.
Fact: His first tweet was instead an attack on Mike Pence for (falsely) suggesting that he could have overturned the election, posted only ten minutes after Pence was moved.

What i previous thought, it would take millions of votes to swing things, that was wrong, it would of only taken 90/100 thousand votes to swing things.. yet Donnie's court cases can NOT prove anything to this point.

Why hold a rally to "save America" and "stop the steal" he had went through 60+ court cases and putting forward zero evidence of this, what was the point of that "rally" other then to incite his people to go and "stop the steal".

If this is the greatest steal ever, I'm laughing my ass off tbh. That no person as of yet will walk forward and to say they have been apart of this. Maybe 30/40 years down the road it will all come too light.

This feels so damn real, the Dems don't have the cut throat as much as the Reps..

    https://twitter.com/brianbeutler/status/1360648584195174402?s=19

It beggers belief at times but no surprise that now don is offline that the focus has been put on the Dems to unite the country after the cnuts have spent the last 4 years of "owning" the libs.

Not only that but the actual timing of what what Trump did and how that directly effected the mob was astoinishing. Heres the timeline-

1.49pm Pence walks into the Capitol building
1.51pm Pences media team releases his statement saying he will respect his oath of office and certify the election
1.55pm Pence walks onto the Senate floor to certify the election
2.01pm Trump tweets that Pence is not going to do what is needed to 'save our country'
2.11pm A member of the mob is filmed shouting about Trumps tweet, telling everyone to check their phones, etc and calling Pence a traitor

Soon thereafter the mob are filmed chanting Hang Mike Pence, calling him a traitor and soon after Pence is rushed off the Senate floor by the secret service

How does any of this prove Trump incited the violence?

    He didnt.

He said: "I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard."

    and also

"We're going to walk down to the Capitol and we're going to cheer on our brave senators and congressmen and women, and we're probably not going to be cheering so much for some of them."

The whole fight fight and fight like hell wording was expertly shown by Trumps lawyers to be a common idiom and rhetoric used in politics for millennia.

The Republican party have one of the biggest choices to make in their history.

They can purge Trump from the republican party by convicting him.

If they don't Donald J Trump will be the Republican front runner for president in 2024.

There is no chance that the Republicans will convict him.

A week is a long time in politics, 4 years a lifetime, a long way to be talking about.

Trump will have his hands full trying to keep his business afloat and fighting legal cases over the next few years I expect.

He won't be, it'll be a case of trump mk2 that comes next.. this is the whole point of this insurrection impeachment, stop anyone after trump from trying to walk the path trump was allowed.

We all know a Trump in real life who can do whatever they want and never suffer any consequences. Obese mid 70s time will catch up with him eventually.
