Social justice vs a big fcuken lie from a child who doesn't like losing.

Social justice is 2bn dollars worth of damage, thousands of people put out of business and 45 people killed, is it ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,982 ✭✭✭MeMen2_MoRi_

So one group rioting is ok and another group rioting isn't ok?

    That makes perfect logical sense.

You're making inferance I didn't make Ted.. try again.

    It's OK, he'll l be dead soon.

    Biden probably sooner

Zero proof he orchestrated anything, get your facts straight.

The Majority of the Senators of the US had enough proof that he orchestrated that.
Even one who didn't vote to convict.
    They are the facts.

What thousand of people being out of business are you talking about?

The better argument is, a social justice issue vs a cry baby lie... Which is more beneficial too wider society..

The fall out from a lie? Or a social justice issue that needs to be looked at.

There was 2bn worth of damage done according to Insurance companies .

    https://fee.org/articles/george-floyd-riots-caused-record-setting-2-billion-in-damage-new-report-says-here-s-why-the-true-cost-is-even-higher/

    https://www.bizjournals.com/twincities/news/2020/08/31/demolition-costs-minneapolis-st-paul-riot-recovery.html

In Minneapolis and St. Paul nearly 1,500 businesses were heavily damaged in the riots, and many were completely destroyed.

    Thats only 2 areas.

You probably didnt see the riots though as CNN were showing the peaceful protests.

Funny how emboldened posters are now to post on here.

Since Trump's loss, it was clear the thread was fading away. Trump was bunkered down in florida, rightly silenced by social media. Becoming irrelevant.

Then his impeachment comes along, activity picks up a little. Some supporters post patently obvious nonsense, get called on it, and slink away.

Then today comes along. Trump is acquitted by members of his own party, who worked with his lawyers mid proceedings. Demonstrable lies are told by his legal team.

Despite that, the largest bipartisan vote to convict.

Doesn't matter. This is a victory!

Come here to voice your grievances.

Take that - Black lives matter, "woke" culture, biased media.

    Get it all out folks.

It's almost as if you waited for this to happen because you needed a "safe space" to voice your support for Trump.

    The irony.

I asked about your comments that thousands were out of work. Can you address that please?

    Their businesses are rubble.

Are you deliberably trying to be disengenious ?

Your right to free speech is not without limit.

You cannot shout "fire!" in a cinema.

    With rights come responsibilities.

His lies cost people their lives.

They've literally had the sh*t kicked out of them for 12 months as he embarrassed himself almost daily and showed himself to be unfit for the role throughout the development of the pandemic. This only got worst after he claimed victory on the night of the 3rd November only for it to emerge that he was comprehensively beaten in a landslide.

That's when things got really difficult as Rudy booked a parking lot for a press conference, and went ahead with it, they were laughed out of court 60 times, Trump was revealed to be pressuring state officials to commit fraud and then he incited an insurrection. Him getting fcuked off twitter was the final blow because they couldn't give him a virtual pat on the back through liking his posts.

Today they think is a victory when it was always clear that he wasn't going to be acquitted but McConnell's words at the end put the nail in him as an entity within the GOP as we know it.

These people are going to have to realise something in the coming months, they can either stick with Trump, and watch Democrats waltz home in 2024, or pick up the McConnell narrative in the hope they can beat the Democrat nominee at that time.

Today was a pyrrhic victory for them but it will take months maybe even years to realise it.

Is asking for you to show how thousands of people are out of work disingenuous now?

Were several hundreds of businesses reduced to rubble? If not, I fail to see how thousands of people are out of a job as a consequence of the protests.

To compare private damage vs constitutional damage is imo fcuking stupid!

The thread was dying away was it ?
Says a Trump hater whose post history on Boards consists almost completely of derogatory posts about Trump.
    Now thats irony.

The vast majority of posters on this thread are anti Trumpers.

I know that you would like to hear everyone signing from the same hymn sheet denouncing the Big Orange Monster.

The naysayers or non believers need to conform, maybe they can be reprogrammed in the Democrats plan.

A pretty key difference between the violence that happened on Jan 6th and the violence that happened during BLM in the Summer is that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris were not out there whipping up the violent element before they went looting. Donald Trump, on the other hand...

If you were the last type of pro trumpers on the thread, I'd rather it died in the echo chamber of anti trumpers. When facts get lost on one side things should die/pro trump or anti trump

They certainly weren't condemning it though, and that lasted for months on end, all for political reasons.

There were lots of differences outside from the fact that Trump instigated the insurrection.

    The access to weapons.
The presence of military clothing amongst participants.
The ease at which the participants were allowed to move around.
The aid given by the police to several of the insurrectionists.
The lack of preparedness from police forces ahead of the protest.
The ease at which participants were allowed to leave once it was over.
The fact that one group wanted to kneel at the use of the flags symbolism, the other wanted to mount that flag to a pole and beat policemen with it.
And that's aside from one group protesting civil disparity, the other tryin to override a fair election.

    Lots of differences.

Things could be about to get even more difficult for Donal.

    Link

This thread could be quite busy for another while yet.

I can hear the chants of Lock Him Up already :pac: The ironing is truly delicious, Trump supporters were tricked and fooled into thinking he was going to lock Hillary up and now hes staring down the face of a prison sentence himself, you couldnt write it better.

Him being put on trial in New York for financial crimes will be an enjoyable watch. First we'll get to see him forced to do a perp walk in handcuffs, Next we'll finally get to see his tax returns and find out how broke he really is. Then finally the biased jury he benefited from today will be repeated in New York, only this time it will go against him. Someone please tell me that the prison uniform in Rikers is an orange jumpsuit, that would just be the literal cherry on top :D

He''s also in big trouble for trying to rig the election in Georgia, thats another crime that carries a prison sentence. Theres already reports from Mar a Lago that he realises this and knows he is now in the soup up to his neck. Tick, tock Donny....

No they weren't out there, but they were repeatedly bailing violent rioters out of jail to do more damage.
