That's just you being selective and picking that day. If you pick any other day, you'll see that it's dominated by the librul mainstream media. See today for example, a completely different story.

This doesn't surprise me, but only because today for some reason I have been inundated with at least a handful of Sponsored posts from Ben Shapiro. The lad is burning a hole in his wallet. eg. https://fb.watch/5kf0y7ezi2/

    I doubt it’s his wallet.

"Political voices" seems like a very broad term. Are you ok with Facebook censoring ISIS videos?
Videos depicting murder yes, but non violent videos should be allowed.
We'll just have to trust people are intelligent enough to make the right decision.

Censoring means that I have a "I know better than you" attitude, but also even worse - that I want to keep you from watching something that will change your mind.
Like someone said; “Socialists don’t like ordinary people choosing, for they might not choose socialism.”

Non-violent videos of any kind should be allowed on what? Facebook? So you don't think Facebook should be allowed to set their own rules as to what is allowed to be posted on their site?

You seem to flip flop as to what you think quite often.

You must be very worried about the voting laws passed in Florida.
Whilst your quote is a nice quip the reality is in America it’s the conservatives who are worried about voters not choosing conservatism.

It’s not censoring when it contravenes the terms of service/use. It’s moderating.

You know this, we went through it with you yesterday.

Seriously like, we are supposed to be talking about Joe Biden and here you are with a pedantic take on the English language as regards what social media does.

I said during the last election if you were setting up a new democracy and were deciding on the system to use and you suggested the American model you’d be asked to leave the meeting.

I think we can add pedantic to the list of words and phrases that you don't understand.

Besides, take it up with biko. He's the one who keeps bumping the thread and steering it back to social media.

Each time he does I'll call out his hypocrisy and ridiculousness while correcting the factual errors he makes.

The idea that the USA is some sort of right wing pro business country is way off.

Its spends more per capita on welfare than the EU.

It doesn't steal from the poor to pay for the middle classes to go to third level like Germany. The poor homeless person in Germany has to pay VAT on his shoes so middle class kids can go to third level.

VAT keeps the poor down in Europe.

But less than Luxembourg, Norway (not in EU), Denmark, Austria, Belgium, France, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Switzerland (not in EU) and Ireland.

More pedantry. You haven't a clue about the English language but if you want to discuss it further bring it to pm or start another thread
And just so you know pedantry is being picky about minor details.
It was easy to understand what he meant by censorship, strong moderation of a website is similar to censorship.

    no, no it isn't.

    no, no it isn't.
It is, it's being very picky about unimportant minor details of a post.

what constitutes censorship is not a minor detail. It is a lazy term that is thrown around far too often by those who don't understand what it means.

There's no need to take it PM, it's not pedantry or pedantic to point out the difference between censorship and moderation.

I could explain it to you if you like, but it may come across as condescending so I'll wait for you to ask first.

Yeah but we are not in English school. We are on an internet forum discussing issues and they are being dragged way off topic by people deciding to give English lessons instead of understanding what a person actually is intending to say and discussing the issue at hand.

words have meanings. meanings are important. disregarding the real meanings of words has partially lead the world to the state it is in today. And with that I'm done with you. It isn't worth the effort.

I'll challenge you to a meeting in person with a sheet of paper each, when things get back to normal, and we have to explain words given to us by an independent third party. I'm willing to wager up to 1000 euro with you on who gets the most correct.

I'm sure there's an English forum on here somewhere if you wish to have those discussions. I meet people every day who don't speak proper English but I never pull them up on it. Reason being they wouldn't like it and it's not important enough.

The idea that the USA is some sort of right wing pro business country is way off.

c.$50 trillion has moved from the working and middles classes to the top 1% since the 1970s in America.

50,000 people die every year because they cannot access healthcare. Pharmaceutical companies can charge whatever price they wish so even those that can access medicine pay exorbitant prices. The tax-payer helps fund these companies and get **** all protections in return.

Over 60% of declared bankruptcies are due to medical bills.

Money is free speech in America and big business takes advantage of it. America is utopia for big business.

This is bizarre, you've picked a strange hill to die on here.

As ohno said words have meanings, particularly on online platforms where its harder to convey tone etc.

Anyway, this is way OT so I'll leave it there.
