Did Biden run on pulling troops out of Afghanistan?
    I don’t remember.

I don't know why he's getting credit for pulling troops out of Afghanistan, it was Trump who made that deal.

Trump wasn't a fan of pulling out.

    Or so Stormy Daniels said...

Folks, there's no need to engage in the manner of the posts I've just deleted. If you think someone is a re-reg, report it and let the mods deal with it. Cards will have to follow if this can't be adhered to going forward as it seems to happen every single time. Cheers

We'll just have to trust people are intelligent enough to make the right decision.

Censoring means that I have a "I know better than you" attitude, but also even worse - that I want to keep you from watching something that will change your mind.
Like someone said; “Socialists don’t like ordinary people choosing, for they might not choose socialism.”

    Interesting. I agree.

But Facebook don't. They are a private corporation. Do you think governments should interfere in house Facebook moderate their content. And if so, where do we draw the line?

The cheap dig at socialism here is hilarious. We are talking about a massive corporation run by capitalists.

Will be interesting to see what Biden does with criminal justice reform.
With his involvement in the controversial 1994 crime Bill and many activists already highlighting he hasn't kept most of his campaign criminal justice reform promises, will be an area of concern for the administration.

He is less than 10% through his presidential term. You should write him a letter telling him that you feel upset that he focused on other reforms first before the ones you are faux interested in.

Because your comment is nothing but whataboutery.

How do you feel about the policies that Biden has implemented so far?

Biden promised to end end mandatory minimum sentences for federal drug offenses.

But he seems to be doing the opposite:

Kara Gotsch, deputy director of the Sentencing Project, a nonprofit research organization seeking to reduce incarceration rates, said she is especially disappointed with the Biden administration because it supported renewing a policy that subjects individuals to mandatory minimum sentences for having trace amounts of fentanyl in their systems.

He kept it at a schedule I drug, which is the correct thing to do. It’s an incredibly powerful synthetic opioid which can knock someone out just via skin contact alone.

A ban on fentanyl has widespread bipartisan support.

You do realise that all heroin in the USA is basically laced with fentanyl so heroin addicts have no choice?

No, I do not realise that all heroin in the USA is basically laced with fentanyl as it's not true. I do however realise that that it is the case on occasion.

What is your source that states that all heroin in the USA is basically laced with fentanyl?

4 years following someone who was always about to do something was acceptable but someone that doesn’t do everything in 4 months is too much for them.

The most important peice of justice reform in decades The first step Act is sadly flaming out under the Biden administration.

The first step act signed off by Donald Trump was greatest peice of justice reform in a generation and took massive bipartisan efforts and is a shame its struggling considering the highlight Biden has put on justice reform and his promises to act on it.

Only Tuesday just gone the Biden Administration Flip-Flopped Its Position in Case Over Crack Cocaine Sentences. SCOTUS Did Not Seem Pleased.

    https://lawandcrime.com/supreme-court/biden-administration-flip-flopped-its-position-in-case-over-crack-cocaine-sentences-scotus-did-not-seem-pleased/

No surprise there considering the Democrats brought in the 100:1 sentencing disparity between crack cocaine and powder.

Considering his questionable and controversianal history in reform along with his campaign promises it has been a poor start in this area.

I know the flip flop comment is a quote from the article but unless I’ve misunderstood, the Biden administration haven’t flip flopped. They have reversed the position of the previous administration and done so within 5 days of Garland being installed as AG.

They hadn’t taken a position to flip flop on.

Dismal employment report for April and yes that's the word cnn used Dismal.

Economy not bouncing back as hoped with only 266,000 jobs added and not the 1 million as projected.

    https://www.cnn.com/2021/05/07/economy/april-jobs-report-pandemic-anniversary/index.html

The US economy added only 266,000 jobs in April on the anniversary of the worst job loss for any month on record. That was far less than forecasts of economists, who had predicted America would add 1 million jobs last month.

The unemployment rate rose to 6.1% in April, up from 6% a month earlier, as more people returned to the labor force to look actively for work, the Bureau of Labor Statistics said Friday. The March jobs numbers were also revised down to 770,000 from 916,000 reported initially.

Why are you only posting negative news? And why are you not giving your own opinion? And why are you not answering questions?

Again like all reports at this time, if it's not about covid or fixing the divide then it's not something that's expected this early. He isn't even four months in the job.

I understand what you are saying but how below the projection is worrying all the same.

To have a projection of 1 million new jobs but only end up with 266,000 new jobs
And unemployment increasing from 5.8% to 6.1% not good enough and a sober awakening.

    It says 6.0 to 6.1%?

Correct it appears on the official CNN site:)

    https://www.cnn.com/2021/05/07/politics/biden-april-jobs-report/index.html

Biden urges passage of economic proposals in wake of dismal jobs report

Fair enough, some copy editor got a bit trigger happy there because the author doesn’t call it dismal or use dismal in the article.

Unemployment claims are down, hourly pay is up, and the average work week is up 0.1 hours.

So some good news some bad news, more of a mixed bag than dismal.

The Dow Jones hit a new record high today at 34,777pts, which as we've been hearing for at least 4 years now, means the US president is doing great on the economy.

It’s not dismal. More jobs were created.

    Dismal would be less jobs.

Or cut your state citizens off from federal unemployment assistance, as South Carolina did yesterday. This State has no use for you if you aren't earning a taxable income.

How’s the job performance since he’s been elected?
    I would think good.
Would think with vaccination and places opening up it would be improving?
    Same as here.

The Arizona Secretary of State has been issued a security detail now that Trump cultists have been issuing her death threats, possibly over a tweet where she called the Cyber Ninja 'audit' a 'fraudit.'

How long until we see yet another Trump terror attack?

I can assure you Brian CNN means very little to me.

266k jobs were created. There were more jobs than the previous month.

More people came into the labour market; so the unemployment rate went up.

    That’s basics maths.

If CNN mean so little to you l, why is it so important that you emphasised their wording?

Who are you a rereg of?
