You didn’t make an innocuous comment. You made a mind bogglingly stupid comment.

Apparently Trump's fans are incapable of viewing a video beyond 30 seconds as well as reading any article beyond the byline.

Congrats that's the first decent and fair point that should be discussed as regards criticism of Biden. I'll have to look into it.

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,705 ✭✭✭✭MisterAnarchy

There are no kids in the first 30 seconds of the video, none even in the first 45 and how is it obvious that the kids are actors, its not mentioned anywhere.

I like the way that anyone who criticises Biden is labelled a Trump fan on here, Trump isnt the bar that the Presidency is judged.

Any excuse for you lot to have a pop at Trump though.

You didn't watch the video before you decided to post a comment here criticising the video here though, did you?

And is that a serious comment that you cannot tell that the kids are actors from watching the video?

Any excuse for you lot to have a pop at Trump though.

That's literally what you just did for Biden. You criticised a video that you had not watched, and then when I asked you how you feel about the video, you ignored the question, for obvious reasons.

Ok I will reply to you this one time.

Firstly I did watch the video beforehand, so your mind reading abilities aren't perfected yet.

Secondly you are fully aware that you and alot of others are on my ignore list so I dont read your posts or value your opinion .

I dont reply to what I don't read, I gave people the benefit of the doubt for a long time but it was clear where their intentions and motives lay so they were added to the ignore list.

I can assure you with confidence that its not done lightly but I simply dont have the time or patience to interact with disengenuous people who get a kick out of throwing insults.

Firstly I did watch the video beforehand, so your mind reading abilities aren't perfected yet.

No, you didn't. I am saying that with 99.99% certainty. If you did, you would have known that those kids are clearly actors and would have not embarrassed yourself by posting that nonsense from a tabloid. You would have directly linked to the video in your original post.

Secondly you are fully aware that you and alot of others are on my ignore list so I dont read your posts or value your opinion .

I dont reply to what I don't read, I gave people the benefit of the doubt for a long time but it was clear where their intentions and motives lay so they were added to the ignore list.

Myself and others are on your ignore list because you can't handle difficult questions. You are fully aware that you have the reputation for disappearing when asked tough questions, regardless of who asked them, and wish to turn Boards into a safe space. Don't try to hide from that fact now.

I can assure you with confidence thats int not done lightly but I simply dont have the time or patience to interact with these people.

So your first sentence above is a lie, because you have not actually replied to me. My question to you was in fact the following.

You're happy, indifferent or upset about the video, you have to be in one of those three categories. Which of those categories do you belong in?

You are not going to respond to this question because, if you think about it for a second, any answer you give to it would be admitting that you lied in at least one of your posts today.

    So, which shall you choose?

    1) Not reply at all to this message, thereby demonstrating that your reputation for disappearing when asked tough questions is correct.

    2) Reply to the bits you can handle but ignore the actual question I asked you in bold again, thereby demonstrating that your reputation for not being able to handle difficult questions is correct.

    3) Shock all of us by answering my question in bold directly and without going off in a tangent.

    Choose wisely.

You are saying with 99.99% accuracy that I didnt watch the video beforehand. You are 100% wrong, but thats not unusual.

I can handle tough questions, but I know my audience on this thread. I wish to turn Boards into a safe space, thats priceless, on this thread of all threads.

Regarding the video I am midly amused by it, its typical of the propaganda and virtue signalling baloney that Harris and Biden preach. Not happy, not indifferent, not upset.

Now I answered your question and I'm sure you will then follow it up with another , and then another and another ad infinitum. Ironic that you of all people, the Tangentmaster would accuse someone else of going off on a tangent.

You did not answer my question, you took option 2). That's a shame, I had high hopes for you.

Here, let me help you if necessary.

Your comment in relation to the video was

Is anything about this administration genuine?

Is that comment made by someone who is happy about the video, indifferent about the video, or upset by the video?

  • Registered Users Posts: 14,705 ✭✭✭✭MisterAnarchy

I answered your question, the answer wasnt to your liking thats all.

You did not answer my question, and you are aware of that by the fact because you cannot answer my follow up question.

If someone watched the Budget today and then said afterwards, "is anything about this administration genuine?", you are suggesting that they were not upset about the Budget? That is the logic you are trying to cling to?

    😆

Really. After you just posted a harmless video in a vain effort to have a pop at Biden.

    Wow.

Joe and Hunter were sharing bank accounts?..

That's pretty weird tbh..Especially as Joe knew nothing of Hunter's business dealings..

The RCP mode is deeply flawed. I can explain more if you want to actually know.

Biden’s actual approval rate is holding steady and is likely to do so for the next couple of years.

A while ago i suggested that certain phrases were red flags and that when you see them, it's best not to engage with the poster.

Main stream media, fake news, libtards, socialist agenda, fake news, sleepy joe, trump derangement syndrome, orange man bad - are all examples.

I've just added another word to that list.

Oddly enough that's the same source they were using for ages for Biden's approval rating, but now that that source suggests his approval rating has plateaued they've switched to a different source.

What source shall they use next? SkyBet?

I work for a very large Texas based MNC and over the last week or so they've been publishing their "Return to the Office" plans (Ireland offices open on Nov 4th).

Today we got the latest update stating that ALL employees (and visitors) globally would have to show proof of Vaccination to enter any company facility or failing that a weekly negative Covid test result will need to be supplied.

And they specifically mentioned Abbotts ruling in the update basically saying "Yeah we know about that , but you'll still have to be vaccinated to enter our facilities".

I see in the news that multiple very large companies based in Texas have said similar things - Will be interesting to see if Abbott tries to interfere with a business making decisions about how they run their operations.

I mean that's completely against the GOP mantra isn't it?

    Gay Cakes anyone?

This will be interesting to watch going forward for sure.

  • Moderators, Society & Culture Moderators Posts: 16,321 Mod ✭✭✭✭Manic Moran

Our (global) company has had a policy of "we can't demand to know, and we can't force you" long before this came out. However, failure to provide vaccination status will result in your being treated as unvaccinated and, for example, likely barred from the office. Insofar as it does not affect your work, you may continue to be as unvaccinated as you like.

That said, Texas is an "at will" employment state. You can be fired for no reason at all, so I don't see how Abbott's order has anything but a political effect in practice.

  • Moderators, Politics Moderators, Social & Fun Moderators Posts: 15,454 Mod ✭✭✭✭Quin_Dub

Yes , it was said in the update that if you could not provide either Vaccination status or the weekly negative test result you "could continue to work remotely if your role allowed".

Which in an "at will" state like Texas means that when everything opens and you aren't able to come on site for the team meeting or whatever they'll happily pull the trigger on you.

All of these "Anti-Mandate" activities from the GOP are the worst kind of political Dick waving.

I read an article today talking about the corner that the GOP are painting themselves into around this as regards all the other vaccines out there. Jim Jordan, the intellectual giant from Ohio, was demanding yesterday that ALL Vaccine mandates ne repealed.

So , either the GOP go whole hog and start to demand that ALL vaccine mandates be removed leading to a potential re-emergence of things like Polio, Smallpox ,Pertussis and a host of other serious diseases that have been essentially eradicated or they will have to admit that their current claims are purely political and back down.

Given the current state of the GOP the latter is highly unlikely so US Public health could be in for a rough ride in the next few years.

The real-world impact of the folly of the Cult of personality.

This story has great potential for Republican attacks and to motivate voters if details are confirmed and it takes off (in parts of- some places won't touch it) the larger media.

Biden I think empowered activists types by some of his statements and actions

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,278 ✭✭✭✭duploelabs

Yes Biden motivates people to be advocates against sexual assault, Trump motivates people to be advocates against sexual equity (using the proud boys as an analogy)

Can you point to ONE instance of him doing so?..

  • Registered Users Posts: 22,625 ✭✭✭✭extra gravy

He empowered activists to do what exactly? Are you intimating that he is in some way responsible for sexual assaults in a Virginia school?
