What musical instrument is this?

    Hi,

    One of my favorite songs is called La Ritournelle by Sebastien Tellier and I'm trying to find out what intrument or instruments are being used at two particular spots in the song. Could anyone here clarify?

    First is 4mins 46seconds into video, is the dominating instrument that kicks in at that time a violin?

    Second is 5mins 52 seconds into video, is that also a violin?

    Sounds like a combination of violin and cello, possibly a string quartet.

    What a tune! "Tunage" thanks for the share! I was expecting a mellotron... but its just a quarter string section "just" LOL!
