Classic insurance - Mini Cooper S

    Hi All,

Anyone have any idea what my chances are of getting classic insurance on my 2006 Mini Cooper S?

Looked around but I've been out of the classic insurance loop for a good few years and never tried insuring a car so "young". So far, most of my enquiries have not thrown up anything positive

    Thanks, people.

2006 is 15 years old. It's not classified as classic....

    I understand that.

Since posting, I found an old quote (2018) from Autoline who were willing to insure a Mini less than 20 years old on a classic (or limited mileage) policy.

I've emailed again now to see if they are willing to do same now. We'll see how it goes.

15 years old is possible on a classic policy

Autolone/abbey were accepting a lot younger cars but their current criteria is -

ROI Residents – A vehicle has to be 25+ years old; although consideration will be given on a bespoke basis.
NI Residents – A vehicle has to be 20+ years old; although consideration will be given on a bespoke basis.

Your own insurer could do restrict mileage and suspension mid year option to allow pro-rata refund for periods off the road after at least 28-days continued.
