Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

sweating toilet cistern

I have a toilet cistern that's sweating and dripping water onto the floor.
I read that it might be the flapper valve
The cistern is cold to touch.

But my question is, should i hear water cycling if it's the flapper valve?

I don't hear anything and replacing this valve probably means shutting the water off at the main as i don't see any valve for the pipe that services this toilet.

Unless there is a leak, then your cistern is sweating as the cistern is colder than the air around and therefore the moisture in the air is condensing on your cistern thus causing the sweating and dripping.
