Is it only a matter of time before this is brought in here?
It would be a wonderful system.

It would be more efficient. You could register yourself online and have your GP or specialist annotate your account if you in a risk category or if you are more deserving of the vaccine (front line staff etc).

If the UK and NHS can do it, so can we.

Will we see it here too? Or are we stuck with a paper based booking system? :P

There is already a massive collaboration ongoing between the ICGP, IMO, PCRS, clanwilliam, HSE, NIAC and IBM / salesforce to develop our covid 19 vaccination IT system.

Its very important to generate this system correctly as if done correctly, it will have the ability to call the exact correct number of patients to each clinic to match the number of vaccines in each clinic, also to extract data to be reported in the media and organise second appointments etc etc

The NI booking system is experiencing "teething problems". It would probably not suit a lot of Boards people, who do not like giving government organisations their private information.

My GP has an "expression of interest" site which I have already used; I reasonably expect they will have online booking for the jab too, but in my case that will probably be months away.

Ye Hypocrites, are these your pranks
To murder men and gie God thanks?
Desist for shame, proceed no further
God won't accept your thanks for murder.
