This is an embarrassing massacre for the Scarlets pack.

    Weak defence there.

Scrappy try. Leinster misset the maul. McGrath doesn't commit the defender then the defender misses the tackle. Haha

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,353 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

McGrath could've went for that himself. Probably would've been the better play too. The Scarlets 10 was clearly prepared to cover Kelleher. A poor tackle led to that score.

HB is kicking more smoothly than I've ever seen. His restarts have been the best I've seen from any Irish player this season and that last conversion strike was pure confidence. Absolutely drilled it, bringing it back inside.

    That's 3 or 4 weeks

Refs and TMO cannot be missing this stuff

To be fair he saw the threat and called his 6 out.... but he had to push off luke onto cian. Yeah he should have held on but that's a difficult cover tackle to even get to, never mind make

Wonder if it would have looked half as bad if the other player didn't shove down on his shoulder.

Is it just me or are the touch judges and tmo dead quiet? Usually you hear the ref chattering away to them.

A BP in the bag already. Absolutely delighted. I hope Leinster demolish Scarlets in the 2nd half of this match when they get the chance. Scarlets defence was all over the place when it needed to count in their direction. Leinster have shown how strong & ferocious their defence can be tonight when they have the right men on their side to get the job done.

    Furlong off??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,730 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

Frawley and Byrne are a great combo.

Frawley's really starting to impress at 12, fits the second playmaker mold brilliantly but also had the carrying/defence too.

Can he start for Ireland next week after 40 mins in 13 months?

    He shouldn't.

Porter is the incumbent and Furlong needs to earn it back.

Porter will probably start but wouldn't be surprised to see Furlong on the bench over O'Toole.

Clarkson should get kudos there for not giving the scrum half the penalty he was looking for (not 10 from the penalty).

How did Furlong get on first half?

It's easy cos his pack has been on top but I like the way h. Byrne doesn't shovel on bad ball.

How is he offside if its not a ruck and not a knock on? Was it a maul?

He was still ahead of the player who played the ball. And he also was on the ground playing the ball
