Just 3 seconds down on her PB. Pretty solid running from her.

Fierce tough Qs and qs in this mens 1500m. First 2 and 4 fastest losers straight to the final.
Filip Ingebrigtsen could be in in trouble here, didn't look himself in that heat.

Also been shown on rte player - no commentary though

Cos oran hopefully through as fastest loser with sub 3:40. Good to hear BBC's Andrew Cotter giving him due recognition.

Very intelligent race from Coscoran. Hopefully he gets a fastest loser spot.

Just managed to get a stream going. Saw Coscoran run. Top 2 is tough alright. What was 1st heat result like?

Why does Jacob Ingerbrigsten always have to push and shove ?? Pushed/touched McCann for no reason, plenty of room for him to pass safely.
    I just dont like him.

Hard luck on McCann get tangled up.

McCann facing a DQ there surely. He ran really well up to then... set the pace and kept himself in the frame.

  • Registered Users Posts: 157 ✭✭gavinoontheweb

Brave run from McCann, rare to see a green vest take it from the front like that in a heat.

Anyone else absolutely hate the Irish vest they've gone with?

That's a cracker of a run from Paul Robinson.

    Great run by Robinson.

    Coscoran and Robinson both through.

    Filip out, I think?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,181 ✭✭✭healy1835

I presumed the TV splits were off in the Robinson heat. 73 secs for 400m :) great stuff, 2 lads into the final.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,625 ✭✭✭ThebitterLemon

Very unlucky not to qualify automatically but well done Robinson got himself out of a spot of bother towards the end

Yep, McCann was slightly impeded by Ingebrigtsen, but his shouldering of the Czech athlete would be more likely to incur a sanction.

Say it every time but Lewandowski is some operator, hope he gives Jakob a good run this weekend.

Am assuming the blue is to be part of an all Ireland kit, in which case I'd have no issue with it.

Irish kit shouldnt be green white and orange. It should represent the whole island.

    Brilliant to watch!

He's some dude alright. He'd surely settle for silver though, or will he?

Good to see two lads through and McCann giving it a good lash.

I'd say Jacob is gonna go out flying and try not to give him a sniff. One of the best finishers and chamionship racers for the last 10yrs

He beat Jacob in Glasgow 2 years ago, he pipped him for bronze in Doha, and almost beat him in Berlin 2018, he just ran out of track. He's a bit of a bogey athlete of Jacob. On paper Jacob should always win, but Lewandowski is a phenomenal championship runner.
