She got injured in the semis or hwr own final, can't remember.

Molly Scott, Gina Akpe-Moses, Ciara Neville and Patience Jumbo-Gula

All still hard at it and still improving

Not really. Even allowing for covid and lack of competition over the last year and half.
Molly has packed up the hurdles moved coaching set up and back again and hasn't run a pb. In a while. Gina has changed coaching set up and hasn't moved on from her success as a youth and junior . Ciara qualified for Euro indoors this season but has been injury prone over last couple seasons. Patience hasn't shown any form of note in last couple of seasons. Ireland should really have a womens 4x100m relay team qualified for olympics great opportunity lost at world relays.
With the likes of phil healy and sharlene Maudsley concentrating on the mixed relay it weakens their chances .

Have to agree. We have way too much talent to not have a women's 4x100 team in Tokyo. Even with essentially a B team we were not far off qualification at World Relays. With even half our top women there, we'd be qualified for Tokyo.

What a shame. A missed opportunity.

But we may not have been close if everybody brought their a team. Many didn’t even bring any team...

EDIT; not to say I don’t agree with the first part of that squad somewhat stalling their development...

Not our problem though. There was an opportunity there and we didn't take it. What other nations do is out of our control.

They'll be in Eugene in 2022 which is looking like a far better experience for our athletes anyway, the way restrictions around Tokyo are.

Davicia wasn't qualified to run an individual 400m , she ran in the 800m heats not qualifying running a dissapointing 2.09.
Interestingly as Rhasidads career has really progressed over there Davicias has gone the opposite direction. They seem to see her as an 800m runner over there and ran a couple of decent 600m races indoors has not really progressed. She did start out as an 800m athlete in her juvenile days but all her success in Ireland has come as a 400m runner running a super Irish junior record 52.57 ranking her no.1 in Europe and high up the world rankings couple years ago. Interesting to see what happens with her she should be pushing for a slot on the mixed relay qualified for olympics

Truth be told, she was the weak link in the relay, nearly lost them the race. Sad to see and even worse was the group body language at the end. No hugs, no celebrations, nothing. The other 3 yes, but not Davicia. Not a great look.

Is she training in a different group though? As in are they in the sprint group and she’s in the middle distance group?
Unless she has decided that she wants to be an 800m runner, she would probably be better off coming back to Ireland. US college track teams put the team first, rarely the individual. If she is surplus to requirements at 400m then she should move somewhere she can focus on her individual future.

Hope we're all tuning in to Ostrava! Joshua Cheptegei has confirmed he'll be taking a crack at Daniel Komen's 3,000 world record. He'll be paced by the very competent Stewart McSweyn.

Getnet Wale running the steeplechase might be one to watch also after he nearly broke the indoor 3k world record back in February.

Was looking forward to the men's 10k but seems it's already been ran? Kiplimo took his PB down to 26:33.94, now 7th on the all time list.

Genzebe Dibaba is running the women's 1500m, but not sure we can expect too much there.

    Travers ran 13:28 in 2019
Barry Keane in the same ballpark with 13:35 a few weeks ago, probably better conditions tbf.

Excellent run. She took some significant scalps in that race. Hopefully, that serves as a launchpad for Sarah’s senior career.

A fine run. Had to come wide and took a few places in the last 150 or so.

Any word on why Mageean scratched? Hopefully not a major concern.
There is another 1500 in Florence in 2 weeks.
