Outlook 365 not opening.

For the last week or two, Outlook will not open intermittently on my laptop.


It is synced with Outlook on my iPhone and it is working perfectly there.


I click on the icon and I get a spinning wheel for a few seconds, but nothing happens.


I then click restart and it asks me if I want to close Outlook before restarting, even though it isn't open on the desktop and it's not open in Task Manager either.


How can I repair this failure to not open sometimes?

Any error messages after prolonged waiting time?

Is there sufficient free space on C drive?
There is no outstanding updates + restart pending?
Do you have any Data files(.pst) added to your outlook?

Tons of space and always up to date.

I used the online repair tool - effectively a reinstall of Office 365, as far as I could see - and it's working now.

Let's see if it continues to work.

I may have spoken too soon. Still getting spinning circles. But, they're resolving now rather than seizing it completely.

In safe mode outlook is running without Add-in's - one of them could be culprit
