Freezing rain - video that, it's quite rare for Ireland and even rarer that near the sea.

Turned more sleety now and would guess it will turn to snow with more intensity.
    Temp 2.3c DP 0.8c

I hope the front doesn’t come too early! Supposed to reach here at 8am.

And wouldn’t want it all to melt before I rose

These are some weird-ass conditions at the moment.

I'm normally out doing Astronomy at this hour on clear nights and honestly all my gear would be dripping wet with dew. I just felt the grass outside and it's bone dry. Like BONE dry. It's very very strange! Location Ashford Co Wicklow.

Clear spells and some cloud but otherwise a lovely night so far.

I'm officially saying this is gonna be a little storm Emma so I'm calling it storm Lema

You've been officially saying that and forecasting 10cm for pretty much a week now.

Surprised Cork hasn't had a yellow wind warning for tonight, its a very howly blowy wind - not at all nice.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,913 ✭✭✭Danno

Snow has arrived in Durrow, small flakes. But with that wind I expect the predicted 5cm will be stuck to the sides of houses rather than on the ground. The howl of the wind is amazing.

Surprised the temps are dropping with all the wind and cloud. We are down to 1c with a dew point of -3c here.

Snowing here but very wet. You can hear the flakes landing on the concrete and car.

Not everyone has sigs turned on and they don't always show on mobile devices

Temp is currently at 1.1 in Tullamore falling slowly all evening. Wind is very wild ahead of whatever precipitation is about to arrive here soon.
Are we in for a surprise tonight ?? Or will it all turn to crap by early morning ??
