Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi
I am getting a new kitchen refit over the coming months. Its not a big space - but I have been looking for quotes to get an electrician to move / add sockets / put strip lighting under presses and move the current ceiling lights ( there are 2).
I have been quoted in the region of 350 - 420. Seems alot to me - but maybe its normal....Can someone advise?

    Thanks
    Maura

It sounds reasonable to me. When we bought our house we did a low-budget kitchen refurb, just to last us the couple of years until we can do a bigger extension and the electrician's bill was around E800, I think. This included new wiring for oven/hob and extractor fan, as well as several extra sockets at counter height and below counter height for appliances. Didn't even include the switches for below counter sockets, which are technically required now. We got a couple of quotes and his was the lowest.

    Sounds good value.
Are you supplying all led strips, transformers, connections etc?

Thank you all...to be honest, I hadn’t a clue so good to know it’s on the reasonable side of things

As far as I know , I am not supplying anything... he brings it....
For the quote on the top end of scale...he comes recommended so I think I’ll just go with him.
    Thank you all!

I paid €100 for 2 hours work recently. Had to buy the cables and parts myself.
