Pruning Clematis group 1 now

I never got around to pruning my Group 1 clematis and now it's already started to grow again, would it be ok to cut it back a little now? would frost affect it if I was to cut it now? It's a 3 year old Montana and it really exploded in growth last year, it's wrapping around my Armandii and Jasmine and can only imagine how…

Let it flower and prune it after. I wouldn't go cutting it now.
