Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That back heel from Firmino irrationally angered me.

He should have been subbed straight back off for it. Ridiculously stupid.

Jesus, Mo looks like the only one who might score. Klopp throwing in the towel?

Ran his ass off as usual.

Hopefully Ox can add something positive... he’s had some half decent sub appearances over the last while.

He’s on the bench though... but I guess he must be right on the cusp. we’ve few enough options anyway so no harm having him there.

    Good finish.

    Fine finish Thiago

Tiago has been unreal tonight, delighted he got that.

Stick Henderson in and that midfield will be very good

I wish they'd just see out a game by holding onto the ball in the final minutes, the amount of times that they needlessly give the ball away drives me up the wall.

    Scratch that.

    Blow it fecking up.

Hope Klopp drops to his knees and starts crying to troll Ralph

The difference in the press with Firmino on has been obvious. Caused the 2nd goal, and Southampton so much more hemmed in.

    R Williams towers over Klopp.

So a match 15 years ago when most players were babies means we can't win in 2021? Lol ****ing hell...

    Good win tonight.
Phillips and Thiago in particular bossed it, nice for Thiago to bang one in too.

Liverpool won but they just don't have "it" anymore. Need someone like Reus in there. Wouldn't leave BVB, but if the money was right and Klopp being in charge you never know

    Great interview with Thaigo.

The door is closed but the window is open so we will try and get in through the window.

How is that possibly your interpretation of the comment?

It's pretty much the exact opposite... our record over all of the games there since some game 15 years ago is bad.

    Sign Reus.

We need Juan Roman Riquelme !

Most games being played with no players in the current squads. It means little to nothing.

How many if any of the current players have won at Old Trafford while playing for liverpool? And if they were wearing nappies then all the better

Well, except for all the players that were at the club last year, and the year before, and the year before that, and before that, and before that... this current group of players does not have a good record there.

I think Henderson is the only player we have who's won with us at Old Trafford way back in 2014. Nobody else has, despite many of them being at the club for years.

If Kabak is available we've a slim hope at least. Without him, I just can't see it. Either Williams starts back there and gets rinsed, or Fabinho is back there and we have no control of the game at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,349 ✭✭✭Zak Flaps

I know he's young, but Williams looks like he'll never be good enough.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,398 ✭✭✭facehugger99

I think if we win our next 4 matches we'll finish top 4.

    If we don't we won't.

    I don't think we'll win our next 4 matches.

But this team has surprised me before

A draw against Man U wouldn't be the end of our chances a loss would be though.

Good to get a bit of luck for a change.

But I would serious concerns over our physical conditioning. 4 new injuries(Kabak,Keita,Davies, & Milner) in training in the last 2 weeks.
In the 70 mins of most games we are tiring badly. 2nd Most goals conceded in the last 15 mins only Palace have conceded more in that time. Midfield getting overun easily at times.
Gini & Thiago not able to cover the ground quick enough to protect the defence more. We all know Williams is too slow & similar with Phillips who has done well.

A dynamic midfielder is also needed now in the summer, Although i think Jones will kick on next season.
We have improved going forward in terms of creating chances. Need to improve our finishing

Which is why it seems just wrong the way this has panned out for Liverpool.

Game postponed due to no fault of their own, and the rescheduled game means that Liverpool's main obstacle to top 4, Leicester, will get an easier ride of it against Utd.

Also, Kabak was in the starting line-up last week. Next week it's likely to be Williams in his place due to injury. That or cede midfield control by playing Fabinho back there. We'd be very much weaker.

Yeah I feel we need a midfielder that can get up and makes runs beyond the front three. We’re a bit one paced in midfield as it is. I know Thiago finally scored tonight but we have practically no goal or even assist threat from midfield.
