    Hi there,

I was trying to buy something from the Apple website last Wednesday (€9.80) but I kept getting an error message so in the end I gave up. I realised afterwards that they actually had charged me the money but they sent no order confirmation and it's not mentioned in my account when I log in on their website.

I phoned them this morning about this and their customer service agent told me that they couldn't help me as they have no record of the order since I wasn't given an order number! They told me they couldn't do anything to help me and advised me to contact my bank.

The money was taken on Wednesday 3rd Feb.

I'm wondering is there anything Bank of Ireland can do to have it refunded? Would really appreciate your help as Apple's customer service were very unhelpful!!

I don't work for the bank, but would it possibly be a pre-authorisation? In other words, when no actual order is processed, it will be returned to your account.

    Hi SelfBuild21,

Thanks for reaching out to us here today on Boards.ie.

We're sorry to hear this. This can happen when a company voids a transaction from their side, after it was authorised by ourselves. Once you have confirmed that the company have no record of this transaction, this will fall off your account after 5 working days and will reflect in your balance.

We hope this information helps. Feel free to get back in touch if we can help with anything else.

    Thanks,
    Richard
