Wild camping Kilcullen town

Drove through Kilcullen on the way home from Kilkenny some years back and stopped for a coffee and a walk, was a really nice town & atmosphere! Was wondering if anyone has had experience wild camping along the river which goes through the town? Would it be OK to find a spot not visible from any house and pitch a tent for…

Drove through Kilcullen on the way home from Kilkenny some years back and stopped for a coffee and a walk, was a really nice town & atmosphere! Was wondering if anyone has had experience wild camping along the river which goes through the town? Would it be OK to find a spot not visible from any house and pitch a tent for the night (following leave no trace guidelines) ?
