Hi , do Irish Water have any typical ppm figures for Calcium and Magnesium in our South Dublin Drinking water....comes from Ballymore Eustace reservoir. These components are important when you are using water to extract coffee flavours in an espresso machine.....I see the total ppm of the supply is about 75ppm but I need to know the mineral composition of same as well to make great coffee.

    Hi Agata,

I too need Calcium and Magnesium readings for home brewing, but they are not listed on the parameters. This seems a little odd. Can you confirm if these are not captured?

    Many thanks,
    Paul

Calcium and Magnesium are not parameters listed in the Drinking Water Regulations and are therefore not tested as part of regulatory sampling requirements.

If you would like to get your water tested privately, you can find a list of accredited testing facilities on inab.ie.

    Thanks,
