Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Good variety there, wonder will Katie stick the plan? Also wonder does she get access to the joe@rte.ie email account. Could be some gruesome stuff on that.

Jaysus, can you imagine the leather clad dwarf sites he subscribes to.

If John's lawyers are reading, I'm only joking.

I know he's subscribed to the rip.ie RSS feed though.

Genuine thought - Could the family of this case requested that if this interview were to go ahead on Liveline, it would *not* be by Joe, hence his absence.

    It was an accident though?
The guy was walking along a road at 530am in really bad weather conditions when he was hit by a car?

The driver after hitting him behaved absolutely appalingly but that is a different conversation.

This was certainly a tragic occurrence. The courts have dealt with the culprit. Unfortunately these sorts of incidents occur on a regular basis.
I can’t see the point of rehashing this particular incident again.

Medical fambilies can't help slipping it in.

How do you know if someone has studied or is studying medicine?

Don't worry they will tell ya.

Is there any point to this topic - a nice man killed in a hit-and-run case - tragic for family and friends but not going to change anything and why do we need to hear?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,522 ✭✭✭cozar

point of call ? is it because of the 4 year sentence? does the family think he should have got more.

The driver was sentenced to a 4 year sentence back in early 2019 and is probably due for release soon, probably bringing it all back up for them, but yeah I agree I'm not sure what good this is going to do.

The only comfort is knowing it's not Joe doing the interview.

Apparently not. There was no mention of during the case anyway.

He was a doctor and she is a doctor. I think that’s why!

    Literally no idea.
Very sad, but the guy was jailed over it.
It was an accident but he fled the scene etc, pretty despicable.
