Hi, Have BOI got a Digipass/card reader style unit (similar to AIB and Ulster Bank) in place of mobile app logon for business account. Thanks

    Hi there,

Thanks for getting in touch with us here on Boards.ie.

We certainly have a Physical Security Key(PSK) available for customers who do not use a mobile app/ don't have a smartphone. I will attach a link below with more information about the PSK.

    https://www.bankofireland.com/physical-security-key/

You can request to order a PSK by logging into our original 365 website- please see below link- select service desk and then ask a question option. Alternatively, you can call us on 0818365365 and one of my colleagues will be happy to help.

    I hope this information helps.

    Many thanks,

Are you sure of that? When I asked I was told the PSK devices weren't available yet and that I'd be notified when they are, but as you don't know I need one I don't believe that.

Wake me up when it's all over.

    Hi There

When logging in online, with no device attached to your online banking the option to order a PSK will be visible within the coming months.

    Hope this helps,
    Alison

    Hi Again,
Following your advice from the initial post we contacted BOI (20-minute wait) and were put through, in error it seemed, to personal 365 banking, as we selected the business option. However, when we were passed to the business section (No delay thankfully)  the rep never heard of a PSK or other alternative to the mobile app. When we explained that one person's phone would have to be available almost 365 she said the administrator could add extra users that can download the mobile app. I believe there should be a local facility such as the PSK available in a small office. We were supplied with the AIB equivalent (Digipass) for our business account so no need for a mobile phone app. I also have one from UB with my personal banking.

It's never my intention to publically criticise anyone online so please take this as an explanation of what we experienced in applying for BOI  in the hope things will change. Our experience in setting up the BOI account was quite horrendous and it took two afternoons with two administrators, the secretary, and myself present in the office to get it done. The reps were very nice and no issue with them. When all was completed and we logged in (a few days later) for the first time, one of three accounts didn't appear online. On inquiry, we were told there was an issue with the name of one of the accounts and we would have to start from scratch again. When we pointed out that BOI accepted and approved all the paperwork we sent in and was available on the day we finalised things we were asked just to fill out information relating to the problem account and they then put it on.
My personal thoughts were "if I was in charge" I would have canceled everything and tried another bank.

    Best Regards and Keep safe.

Just to add. I also requested the device from 365 as advised. I got a reply to say they were not available yet. With no indication of when they would be available.

In the mean time BOI have removed the old logon from the website.

I have to say the whole process is a mess.

When is the money (including lost growth) Michael Noonan took in the Pension Levy going to be paid back?

The old site is still there https://original.365online.com/online365/ should get to it.

But typing 365online as a URL doesn't work. Probably gone for good now it worked then it didn't then they put the link back and it worked now its gone again. It's all to force as many dumb customers as possible to use the new system whether they like it or not.

Wake me up when it's all over.
