Does anyone own/buy this? Great price but wondering is 55 watts a bit under powered? Only need it to sand down a kitchen counter top before oiling so might do the trick?

Not in stock until 16th May

Has anyone used cheap drives like these? I just have a prejudice against them and always go for brand names.
Just to point out that those are 8GB and not 16 as claimed.

Also the link contains a referral code so anyone buying will be financially assisting the person who posted it.

Was looking into it myself and found this video

Based on that and the comments beneath it seemed to be worth the money.
    Due to arrive Tuesday.
My free Prime trial has gotten expensive

I got one in woodies about a month ago. Use it a few times and was surprisingly good. Only downside was no dust collector and is needed for what it does. The rubber that covers on/off button has torn, but still works. Could do with different roughness of supplied paper, but can buy a good few different types on Amazon too. Would buy this if I didn’t already have it. Think I got it on offer for €25

Have one years, it's surprisingly useful but very dusty!

cheers, thanks for the info, reckon I'll buy one as I only need it for light use

The one linked seems to have a connection to a vacuum cleaner hose, not sure how well it works but might be a bit cleaner.

How long do the sanding papers typically last on these sanders, like would you get both sides of a door done on a single paper or does it need more frequent changing?

An orbital sander would probably be a better job but a bit more expensive, I'd imagine the mouse would take a while.

This is a very good lead at £16.99 (before vat reduction/currency exchange). Only a 5 gang but has individual switches and can be mounted. Bought it myself a few weeks ago :)

I wonder would this fit or be made to fit with a bit of fiddling around?

At what price do they start charging import fees? I've an item, on listing its £19.72, in checkout its £16.43 plus £5.16 import fees deposit. I thought import fees only were charged on items above £/€25?

    €22, which is roughly £19.12

The actual rate is €22 and currently £19.72 works out at €22.68 on xe and Amazon own rates are always worse.

Is it from a 3rd party seller also lightening deals work out similar price to the original.
