Yes you won't get this because every house will vary a bit.

The wall in your living room might be 2000mm long, and your next door neighbours could have a 300mm difference for example.

Have you seen a show house?

They won't be that far off. 5 to 10mm max.

What if it's not a decent builder?

Well then there may be bigger discrepancies from drawings, and plenty of other suprises

There is no legal obligation on developers to provide detailed plans with measurements. If you refuse to sign the contract without that information, there's generally a queue of people behind you who will.

This is exactly the conclusion I reached, builders in this country don't give a f**ck because of the supply issues and that's it.

When we were looking at a new build, we did the brochure plans which would be the ones issued with contracts along with a site layout plan and specifications. However they aren’t that detailed.

I found the actually planning permissions online a lot more valuable. You got to see whole estate layout, the gradient of the estate, how it’s sloped etc. A lot of councils have them all online now so with the planning number or developer name, you should be able to find it.

The floor plans didn’t have sizing with regards to being able to show it for measurements for irking and flooring. It is a bit Vague in Ireland and contracts do give spoke to a builder

The builders don’t own the drawings to give to you.
The drawings are copyright of the architect and the person who paid for them, the developer.

The builder is engaged to build what’s on the plans giving to him.
