Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Sealing interior stone wall.

    have a small shed outside which has old stone walls. I want to use it as a store. the old white mortar/plaster is falling off. It has no dampness. If I remove all the plaster is there something I can paint the walls with to stop loose mortar from falling down? I don't want to go to the bother of replastering it due to cost and time. Would polybond be suitable? I don't intend painting it.

    Don't seal mortar, that's how the walls breathe.

    If the mortar is loose then it needs repointing.

    someone suggested white washing it. Would that prevent the wall from breathing?

    Limewash will be fine but it won't hold in loose mortar.
