Well worse than clunky for the try.

    DuPont is brilliant in fairness

What kind of offloads were they??? Hold it.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

I'm afraid JGP and Burns just aren't good enough at this level. We need to find a 9 and 10 to replace Murray and Sexton before the next WC

    HarshClear penalty

Fixed your post there, if they want to do up a video of clips of examples of penalties for going off your feet at the breakdown just show that over and over, the fact that he was trying to seal off a 9 made it worse.

    Af has to go

Iain Henderson has been immense out there so far.

Think both have been grand so far.

This is the complete opposite to ‘Joeball’.

French 13 came in from the side there.

Bit premature no? JGP playing well bar the bite in and Burns playing well bar the missed penalty.

I must be watching a different game, I think JGP is playing a decent game, looked bad for the try but he's a 9 not a winger, he shouldn't have been there

Its not seeking contact, kicking etc

So much for the much vaunted change in style

I thought JGP was doing well until he messed up for the French try.

He's in the act of a clear out and the guy steps back out of it. I've seen them not given.

Burns was easily stripped of the ball there... we're under pressure now because of it

The strength of Dupont to get to ground there. Healy and Porter trying to hold him up. Impressive!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 294 ✭✭Scratchly

I don't understand that. Henderson wasn't penalised for being on the wrong side yet the fact he was on the wrong side means Irelands jackal wasn't legitimate ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,039 ✭✭✭TomsOnTheRoof

The pack are playing well again. We put ourselves under pressure when we put it out wide though. We never really look comfortable out the back.

JGP gifted France a try with a poor defensive decision, were mincing France up front and we haven't the half backs to capitalise

Kicking and seeking contact in a rugby game. Well I never!

We have 9’s for this level:
    Blade
    Marmiom
    Cooney
    Mcgrath

Casey has massive potential but an Irish shirt is not the place for it IMO.

Ten is a bigger issue, but still:
    Carthy

Burns is playing better than I expected tbh.

He just flopped on top of the ball carrier. Its dumb stuff

Nah we're seeing nothing here to suggest Farrell is the man. We're utterly crap in the very things he was apparently changing

French player jumped into a ruck from the side before that penalty, don’t know how it was missed.

Why not...he's probably better than all the others you mentioned already

Ringrose and Henshaw need to make more of an impact. We're not tying in defenders at all

Need a score before half time.

I fail to see what mike Catt is bringing to our attack

Secondly we are crying out for a dynamic 8

Blade sitting in Galway, similar to DuPont

I would swap out herring out at half time. Set piece going ok but he’s a bit lost in open play.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

He's very clearly trying to clean out the jackler, it's not a sandbag flop

Stander has been one of our better players so far with ball in hand. He's offloaded and made ground every time.

Be nice if the merchants that will come up with standers small yard gain for high carrying stats could watch how many players are tackling him every time he gets the ball.

Cian Healy a spent docket already.

Hint of a knock on by France at the end there which was missed.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 294 ✭✭Scratchly

JVF taken out off the ball twice there and Beirne knocked over by someone in a ruck holding his legs.

Keenan is playing very well at 15, out line out/scrum is on top and Ruddock is doing great stuff. Unfortunately I think France are just better than us

Andy Farrell is hopeless. This team could be winning games, have plenty of quality but he's hopeless. Choice of outhalf ridiculous.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,015 ✭✭✭almostover

At that last ruck Le Roux took out VDF beyond the ruck and then attempted another foot trip on JGP. I think we could get to him. Another yellow and his day is over

Sure if we are playing “heads up rugby” whys there a need for an attack coach?

3 points a poor return for our efforts. Hugo just needed to hold a split second bon his pass to Lowe.

    Big momentum changer.
