Yes, she's a good actress by comparison to the rest... she is on a par with the likes of Cass, Dolores, Pete, Ray... But her storyline and reason for being in Carrigstown is fairly paper thin.

Hopefully they bring in her daughter Aoife, Fergal's twin. She's been mentioned a few times. It'd give Jacinta a stronger reason to be hanging around. Ideally they'd have the daughter be a holiday romance Dean had when he fled town and she's come back to be with him. Imagine the faces all around when it'd be revealed who she's related to

They are getting serious mileage out of the Helping Hand set and the soo called tension between Jacinta and Dolores.

In the real world, if Dolores had any influence over things at the Helping Hand she would have simply fired Jacinta for insubordination from day one…end of storyline.

On a related question... How does a busy business woman like Dolores (Health Center, Garage and Pub owner) have time to be hanging out at a thrift shop every day ?

Its like the writers are being paid to plug shopping in Charity Shops - prices are constantly mentioned and what great great value can be got in Charity Shops - it feels like advertising to me instead of acting. The constant stupid banter between Dolly, Cass, Jacinta, Nora and Ray is tedious. Now the latest is a silent auction of the stock. I find all the scenes in the Charity shop ridiculously stupid. Jacintas acting is good though - the others acting is forced and doesnt come across well.

Noticed that Anna was wearing a large statement necklace. Is that the one Gwen gifted her? Or was that a brooch? Wondering if it originated from Joan who donated stuff to the HH. No good will come of the silent auction for that brooch.

Can't figure out what Greg is carrying on at with Jess, is he in or out.? ANd Babs being all innocent about Viktor's affair when he was playing away before is nuts. Ruby's outfit was very odd too

I presume Orla and Junior are still living above Vinos after turfing Dean out that time which lead us into the Van Saga (which also seems to be forgotten about). It's also not clear if Sean still lives with them or if he lives with Cass.

I don't think Sash ever really had childcare issues. It was all self inflicted that time because she wouldn't let Tommy look after her. Normally there's a queue of people like Tommy and Dolly to mind her and I'm sure that Patrick fella will fly back from Brussels at the drop of hat to babysit if he was asked.

What age is Olivia now? I feel like she must be due to start to primary soon

I actually think the character of Nicky is good. If you stand on Henry St in Dublin you will see and hear girls exactly like Nicky. Shes the classic Dublin single mum, social welfare scrounger. I think the character could be developed to cause drama and havoc. I prefer Nickys scenes to the 'helping hand' borefest saga.

That was going to be Anna's fourth date with a guy she met over 12 weeks ago. In all fairness, she can't be surprised he's giving it another with his ex, since he only saw Anna a few times in about 3 months and she cancelled the 4th date. Even if they'd been on the 4th date, that's quite a slow pace so he'd probably still be back with the ex. Obviously the writers were saving on money by having her entire romance with him off screen so they didn't have to pay for an actor 🙄

Totally agree, broach was hideous like something from Peig Sayers. Nora had admired the broach in the window with Jacinta with Ray watching on so I guess that was her liking the broach, thought it was funny to see Jacinta wearing the broach as bold as brass in the cafe after, 😀 not giving a sh1t.

The Helping Hand storyline is a bit of a nonsense. It would have to be a registered charity in order to operate such a shop. If Dolores is the mere owner of the premises and is leasing it out, she would have no role whatsoever in the hiring or firing or day to day business. That would solely be the function of people who work for the charity.

How often do characters (mainly Kira, Mondo and Victor) pretend to be working on a Sunday and nobody questions it? Fair enough in Victor's case as taxi drivers could be on any day of the week, but does anyone believe that Kira and Mondo have clients that would also be regularly giving up their Sundays so often over an issue that only hapened to be noticed on a Sunday rather than close of business on a Friday? Anna was another one, pretending she had paperwork to do on a Sunday.

Mondo being a bit disrespectful to other's privacy there. It's not just Kira that lives there. Hopefully poor Alex doesn't bring a ladyfriend home and end up unwittingly making a secret porno on the couch. It's well established he likes to do the deed anywhere except a bed
