I think it has actually improved recently, I always get the sea bass and it just seems much better recently, nicely crisp and I much prefer the slate compared to the bowl ; very reasonably priced all round.
My West Cork recommendation is The Church in Skib, we love it and find it reasonably priced.

is The Black Market always so quiet…. went there last Sunday and it was literally deserted - lot less options than Marina Market obviously but decent enough offerings
