New monitor

Hi guys,

My eldest wants a new monitor for his birthday. Aside from school work he'll mainly be using it for playing fortnite. He has come up with this suggestion:

Just wondering if that's a decent option? Does a monitor make much of a difference to fortnite?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts. I know the square root of not very much about monitors.

I have a Pixio PX277.

It's....OK. Coming from using Apple displays every day for work and OLEDs for content consumption, the uneven backlighting, elevated black levels and inaccurate colours were a bit of a shock, but I think that's the compromises you get with relatively cheap high refresh gaming monitors.

I bought it because the reviews I found on Reddit reckoned it was decent for the money.
