A bit of daylight at the top, as Rikand opens up a 4-point gap to his nearest challenger. It isn’t a lot, but it might be enough. There are now just 14 points separating 1st and 6th - anybody’s game with just two questions remaining

Playing catch-up here, but were you trying to outsmart people thinking they wouldn't read the question properly or did you just not read it properly?

Wouldn't know a huge amount about Super Bowl, but last week's super bowl was 2021, and I don't think Tampa Bay has a win between '10-'20

Actually it was the 2020 competition

Well considering I only heard of the weekend for the first time during the superbowl and have never heard of Ariana Grande it was a decent shout in my mind lol.

Sick to not think of Swift. Pop music is not my thing.

Battle to not finish bottom in my first sheep is on.

    15. A word that can either follow the word ‘British’ or ‘English’

On to the penultimate question, and I can tell you this was the question that had the biggest variety of answers nominated, with a total of 15. Three of those are pictured below, but did you have any of them?

A low-scoring round sees little change at the top. Rikand extends his lead to 7 points over Homer J. Fong, but Kolido, Omackeral and cee_jay hit the Sheep to edge themselves closer to the leader. With only 18 points now separating the top 7, is there time for one more twist in the tale?

    16. A word that can follow the word ‘American’

This is it. The final question. It all hangs on this. Who can find the Sheep, and will it be enough to give them victory?

We saw that British Airways was the narrow Sheep in the last question, will their American counterparts, American Airlines, hold the key to victory?

The Super Bowl only finished a week ago, maybe people had American Football on the brain?

Or maybe people simply chose the American Flag, the symbol of a nation, as the most obvious answer?

    All will be revealed shortly…

Let’s concentrate on the top 7 for a moment, and see how they fared. Here is a reminder of the standings at the top of the table going in to this question:

    Player Score
    Rikand 383
    Homer J. Fong 376
    Kolido 374
    davetherave 372
    Omackeral 371
    Declan A Walsh 368
    cee_jay 365

It is time to reveal the answers, and I can tell you that:

cee_jay answered AIRLINES, and it scores him 4 points

Declan A Walsh answered FLAG, and it scores him 2 points

Omackeral, davetherave and Deleted User answered PIE, and it scores them 20 points each

Kolido and Rikand answered FOOTBALL, and it scores them…

Which means Deleted User - who only held the joint-lead once throughout the entire game - times his ascent to the top perfectly, claiming 1st place by four points on the very last question!

Is he about to begin a second era of Sheep dominance? Only time will tell

Commiserations to all who came so close to winning, especially cee_jay and his incredible run of Sheeps keeping him top of the pile for most of the game, and Rikand who came oh-so-close to winning, but was dethroned at the very end

Congratulations/commiserations also to Neowise for claiming the wooden spoon, made in the UK and assembled in the USA because, you know, labour costs and globalisation, etc.

A very special thanks to all who read along and took part in this reveal, I hope you all had a good time here tonight :)
