Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Laptop fixing- shop around?

I brought a laptop into get fixed in one of the computer repair shops. He said he would have a look at it to see what is wrong with it and give me a ring. He rang me today and quoted me €150 for repair. I had bought a laptop in this shop a few years ago and the battery didn't last long at all on it. Just wondering should I bring it to some other repair shop to get a better price or just go with it? What do I really say to him now?

Hard for anyone to comment sensibly unless you give details of the repair - what work is being done?
