Hot to get rid of Gunnera manicata

    How can I get rid of Gunnera manicata and when is the best time to attempt to eleminate it.

    You probably have Gunnera tinctoria, G. manicata is not that common.

    Depends where it is ground conditions and how much you have?

    Its hard to dig it out so herbicide is normally recommended. Either foliar sprays with some form of Glyphosate (Roundup) or cut the leaves and paint the cut surfaces with a 25% mix of Glyphosate.

    Many years ago I had to pay £300 for a Gunnera in the UK. The client wanted it & I had no idea that they grew semi wild here
