Sounds like Frank tricked Jenny into a dodgy investment ? Jenny seems to be in serious bother re her GP practice, don't know if it's money related. So what's the story about selling the cafe and why does Val keep returning. What happen in the cafe ?

Something steamy, involving very hot water!

First time she went there she found the place in bits, presumably the daughter went mad and did it, then the guard knocked on the door. I'd imagine she thought he saw her car so waited until he was leaving before going out so he wouldn't see the café destroyed and know the daughter was angry.

She went back later on to finish the clean up.

I wonder what any foreigners would make of the sign saying Lahinch with a sticker or paint to change the 'e' to an 'a':D

I wonder did Frank and Jenny have a fling?
He is no relation to her, as Denis was her stepdad.
She is pregnant but who's the father?

I love how they all looked glamorous at the party last week, but more ordinary this week without the gladrags and makeup.
Like the rest of us mere mortals, in other words.

Frank and Val not more likely? With Jenny as their daughter.

Would they notice? Seems to be a dispute over the proper spelling Lehinch or Lahinch?

We don't know who Jenny's father is... in theory it could be Frank.

And we don't know who the father of Jenny's unborn child is... in theory it could be Frank.

    Jaysus

I caught up with the second episode tonight and I'm hooked now. I was sure Carl was going to be the dark horse, but it's too early in the series for the finger of suspicion to fall on him if he is the real culprit.

I'm looking at either Jenny or Frank as the ones who have more secrets to come out.

The brooding young lad is also acting like he has something to hide.

Seeing as it's Cheltenham week we should open a book on the suspects:

    Jenny 3/1
    Frank 3/1
    Brooding young lad 5/1
    Karl 6/1
    Grace 8/1
    Detective boyfriend 10/1
    Board Bia Dad 12/1
    Val 14/1
    Bar 20/1

    Place your bets!

My better half (Slovak) noticed and asked why the crew hadn't cleaned the sign before filming. Cue a long explanation.

Still Val for me. Had access to info on the husband's losses/debts and wanted to ensure she didn't lose the big house.

I'm finding it very hard to follow, its too character heavy and each scene is too short and random to the next.
I'm crap at whodunnits anyway but everyone is starting to now be painted as a nutter and it's usually who you least suspect so I'm going to say Ingrid??

    I like it.
A few unhinged characters, some tense relationships, not to mention
    unsavoury and questionable behaviour.

It's more true to life than many of us would care to admit.

Good point, would have been a rash(er) decision, though.

This is getting a bit dull. Instead of real twists and turns it seems to have a suspect of the week, then they're cleared and it's on to the next suspect with all forgotten. Grace's mental health issues were highlighted early and now she's a beacon of sense. I suspect Karl's "pedo" episode will be forgotten about too.

I also had a giggle when Val asked if Frank had done Denis' digging for him, when all he had to do was google "karl jensen copenhagen" to find the newspaper report.

What happened to your man's jacket? Did the dead guy pick it up in the house the night of the party.

    Interesting twist.
I don't like the show but I'm hooked so they must be doing something right.
