Depositing cash in PTSB

I want to put cash into a PTSB account without having to endure a delay. Is it true that none of the branches will allow a cash deposit from a non PTSB customer? I've been doing this with AIB occasionally, no problem, but was told PTSB don't offer the same.

If its just notes and you have the full PTSB account details you can use the machines inside the branch.
No need to go to the counter.
Not going to stop someone lodging money to a customer's account.

Once you have the full account number and sort code. This must be done at the counter and will appear instantly on the account if the lodgement is cash regardless of the branch.

Self service machines cannot make manual lodgements anymore

There are obligations under the Finance Act re money laundering so if you rock up with a large cash deposit you may be asked to prove its origin and purpose.
