Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Whsts the best Heat detection system on the market? One that works on the cow alone and doesn't involve teasers or squeezed bulls. Its for a 16 cow herd split on two farms opposite each other divided by a road.

I used the kamar patches with fair good success, the glue ones, the self adhesive ones wernt great at staying on, that said you need to watch them for a bit when you see the patch starting to colour up to be sure, I think it works along the lines of the more red in the strip the further on they are bulling, there quite visible from a distance too, one drawback is if sizes are mixed in animals smaller cows might mount high enough to trigger it, but would want to be a fair difference in size, and the position on the tail where they are needs to be right but the instructions and the applicator thing make it easy enough
