And he hasn't even bothered with a raincoat, gilet, arm warmers or anything.
    Hardy buck.

His ridiculously long socks must be keeping warm :p

He's going to win the stage by about two and half minutes

This is like a spring classic at this stage.

They are cyling like it's up a mountain. Weather there must be as bad as here

5 minute time penalty for bad fashion surely

Jaysus, MvdP is really struggling and Pog is catching him at a rate of knots

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,010 ✭✭✭velo.2010

VDP looks like he's bonking here.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,414 ✭✭✭✭dastardly00

I think Pog will catch him!

It's brilliant viewing tbf, he looked absolutely invincible half an hour ago.

What a stage!! I can't remember the last time I saw something like that in a stage race. Even WVA's fightback was incredible!

  • Registered Users Posts: 26,128 ✭✭✭✭breezy1985

Coming to really like both MvP and Pog.

F*$& power meters and skytrains and all that nonsense these guys are bike riders

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,343 ✭✭✭Daroxtar

MVP might have won the stage but I think Pog seriously hurt him there.

  • Registered Users Posts: 13,414 ✭✭✭✭dastardly00

Even though MvdP won, it does that he is human :p
He was absolutely fooked there at the end. Pedalling squares.

Can they keep this level until the Tour? The standard is incredible these days. Dan Lloyd is correct... more lumpy days like this in grand Tours and less of the high mounatins were nothing happens until the final climb, and even then it can turn into a sprint in the final km.

High mountains are great when positioned right. No point having one at the end that's so hard everyone conserves

And drama over in Paris-Nice. Roglic's arse hanging out of his shorts after a crash and a gap opened up

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,010 ✭✭✭velo.2010

Roglic always seems to have a bit of bad luck in stage races.

Amazing that Jumbo have no-one left to help him.
No idea why bouhanni & now campanaerts are helping him out

Where did his team go after the 2nd spill? Are they ahead of, or behind him?

  • Registered Users Posts: 12,033 ✭✭✭✭Richard Hillman

This is thoroughly entertaining. Big shout to Roglic and his masculinity in fighting on. He's clearly hurting.
