Off topic but I never remember a triple crown decider played in February.. (Wales v England)

So you'd rather he got smashed into touch? Instead they kick to us and we get the ball back about fifteen metres ahead of where we won it

I don’t think there was any chance of getting smashed into touch on this occasion. Larmour has a great ability to beat a man. As does Ringrose if it was him who kicked.

Peak Ireland there. Turnover ball and we kick it in goal!

Absolutely correct decision. Italy had pushed up, nobody in their backfield. The kick found grass behind them in their 22 hut was overcooked and needed to hug the 5m line.

He didn't have any overlap outside him and taking contact would only have allowed Italy reset their line and backfield.

I appreciate how open you are with this. Lots on here would never admit it publicly.

Our set piece is genuinely good now

Great to see after the problems we had in the Autumn.

    They are the underdog

That's so poor from Kelleher and JGP

Not for me. Either try beat the man, take it into contact and retain possession or a chip over the top. Garbisi had the back field covered, there was about a 20m gap for Larmour to chip into.

    Excellent by Connors there.

    Genuinely a **** game.

They're going nowhere, but Italy trying to move the ball through the hands more than us.

    Connors > VDF

We haven't had the ball in ages. Not hard.

    Lovely try.

Kelleher a huge upgrade on Herring

Ringrose and Henshaw is by a mile our best centre pairing.

    2 good passes by Sexton

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

Beauty of an offload and even better running line. More of that please!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,752 ✭✭✭degsie

    Much better!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,353 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

    That's a great try.

And one I'm glad we scored as it looked like we'd blown an opportunity to go wide to Lowe.

  • Registered Users Posts: 24,258 ✭✭✭✭Buer

JGP is having a really good game. Perfect for this sort of match where the opposition aren't disciplined around the fringes.

    Great pass

Maybe Mike Catt isn't so bad after all...

    That was a cracking try

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,015 ✭✭✭almostover

Offloads = tries. Hopefully we can learn that and put it into practice more often

It is but we have had issues for a while. It showed improvement against France, looking okay here too, expect for the mail after!

People will find a way to say it was because of Lancaster

I think this is the start of Kelleher being a regular starter, he's been very good today in all facets.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,353 ✭✭✭✭Clegg

It's great seeing your fullback cutting a line off the outside centre. It's basic stuff, but one of the most aesthetically pleasing to see when pulled off right.

    Our defence and turnovers outstanding.
