Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Discipline is poor from Ireland.

Harsh by Horgan calling Italy borderline pathetic

Poor oul Niall09....he was throwing a few quid on Italy in this game.

Hopefully he hasn't thrown the mortgage on it.

Look Ireland have had a good half (up to the last 2 minutes) and it is good to see good attacking shape and excellent depth in the backs. Sexton makes the team tick, especially in partnership with Ringrose at 13.

At the same time I don't think it's wrong to point out that Italy's defence is very soft.

I agree completely with your point, my previous post wasn't in relation to fair criticism. It's just funny to see the same pattern in Ireland threads of posters who would never ever praise Ireland but are quick to post belittling comments.

JGB caught jumping out of the line again

    No he didn't.

The attacker inside got through the line and the ball never even made it out as far as JGP

Before this game Ireland had conceded no penalties on the scrum. 2 today so far but in defence of the scrum the time it takes Raynal to set the scrum is beyond stupid.

If he hadn’t shot up he’d have been in position to make a tackle after first man was beaten.

He’s been very good attacking - but defensively he still has some work to do

Italy are ****e. Aside from being offside their kicking strategy is ridiculous.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,543 ✭✭✭dublinman1990

Italy had shown some promise with their last try before the half ended. The question here now is would they be able to score more tries if they keep their discipline in check for the remainder of the game. Italy are focused when they see a clear path ahead to score a try. It's just the mistakes and errors can bring them apart. Ireland should we'll be able to exploit those Italian moves if Italy get into further trouble.

    Did Larmour go off injured?

That's pretty rubbish if true. Only come back from a bad one

Bit of payback for the Hendo try maybe.

Don't think he made the line but it cancels out the Hendo try

Having attempted to ground the ball on the line is Furlong legally allowed to then bring it back again?

Lowe ducking the kick, put up your hands like!

Minor muscle injury for Larmour apparently.

    Very tasty play, Lowe, Kelleher

    Offload was forward

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,998 ✭✭✭leakyboots

Thought the offload was definitely forward but the intention is good

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,998 ✭✭✭leakyboots

Lowe is probably lucky Larmour went off injured because he hasn't been great again today. Still time to make his mark though

Even if he wasn't held, the crawling isn't allowed. No?

He fell over, he can try getting back up surely?

If the match was Barbarians v Fiji, this referee would ruin it

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

Healy has knocked on a few like that so far in the 6N

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,816 ✭✭✭✭bilston

Lovely depth by the backs there.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,334 ✭✭✭theVersatile

I'd just like to point out that CJ threw a tip on to Kelleher there. Don't let the Hesly knock on distract you from the fact that CJ passed the ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,998 ✭✭✭leakyboots

Beirne doing a POM out on the wing. Earls didn't seem to kick long or chip, poor

    Sit yourself down CJ!

Yeah, great servant but think his abilities are deserting him. Doesn't have long left at international
