    On field decision try? :pac:

Gas, if it was Ireland we’d never get that, Wales always get these decisions

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,114 ✭✭✭UAEguy2020

    Is that a joke😂

God really is a Welshman this championship.

    Lol!

So do you have to be in control of the ball when you kick it? So a normal kick you'd be in control.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,114 ✭✭✭UAEguy2020

    Rees-Zammits face says it all.

As an England fan this is a tough watch!!

The first one was bad but honestly I can not believe that’s been given as a try, absolutely shocking!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,043 ✭✭✭Carfacemandog

It was, but how is it that these decisions always, always, always, always seem to go in Wales' direction down the years?

It's clearly not some magical bias and likely is just smarts and knowing how to play the ref, but going in to any game you're almost guaranteed to see Wales benefit from refereeing calls far more than their opposition.

    Bares repeating. :D

It was forward imo. It went forward off his hand and he was never in control before it hit his leg.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,375 ✭✭✭✭prawnsambo

Gas. Just goes to show you always finish the play and dot down. :D

Lads, put your mortgage, wife, kids, the whole lot on Wales for the slam!

Could get an onfield meltdown by farrell today

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,719 ✭✭✭✭Larbre34

Thats a wisdom of Solomon decision.

The ball went off a forward facing palm, but it never momentumed forward, dropped slightly back then kicked back. Its a try and also not a try.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,114 ✭✭✭UAEguy2020

He touched forward with his hand and never regathered it, a clear knock on, how was that given as a try!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17,876 ✭✭✭✭bilston

Earlier I describes the TMO decision to disallow Henderson's try the worst ever.

Turns out it wasn't even the worst TMO call today.

    Unbelievable

    Brutal decision. Clearly dropped it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

    This is absolutely scandalous.

Wales on track for a very questionable grand slam so far

2 red cards and 2 dodgy tries deep in this tournament anyway

Both when he dropped it and also the shot when he was smirking when the "try" was awarded.
He'll be told to work on his reactions going forward!

Wales really are going to win the 6N through a combination of red cards and questionable refereeing. Gas.

The interpretation seemed to be that it just went forward against his hip which is no different to catching the ball to your body. And it only went backwards off his leg.

    Interesting law discussion there!

    The Sham Slam.

Dropped it onto his leg though so it's not a knock on? Every kick you throw the ball forward before you kick it.

It was a knock on. I have absolutely no idea what the TMO and ref thought they were watching

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,114 ✭✭✭UAEguy2020

Wales are bored of getting reds in their favor, they are atleast mixing it up now with getting tries in their favor.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,635 ✭✭✭dublinman1990

What do the Welsh fans say about it. I would say they were in shock.

    Exactly.

Also, the fact the ref called his on-field decision try, rather than just saying we'll look at it, put the TMO in an awkward position.

Wales taking the piss with the ball at the base of the ruck too

He touched it with his hand and went forward into his leg, the only way it’s not a knock on is if he regathers it which he clearly didn’t.

Not much quality in this game really

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,000 ✭✭✭randomname2005

England staying in the game. Would love to hear the half time ref and to chats!

If you throw the ball forward for a kick, how are you "in control"?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,272 ✭✭✭waynescales1

The ball has not been considered knocked forward until it touches the ground, or another player. The ball is knocked backwards off red’s leg. Correct decision by TMO.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,043 ✭✭✭Carfacemandog

Serious play from Tom curry there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 24,559 ✭✭✭✭lawred2

Did he back himself into a corner by asking for a reason to reverse an onfield decision?

It wasn't definitive with the poor angles given to him
