Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

want to throw a few loose chippings onto a muddy area over a section of a drive to drive over / park on / walk on.

was thinking cheapest way to do it would be 1.5” all in (804) chips .

They would be OK to just shovel on and rake out? - I know eventually grass and weeds will come through.

One company quotes the smallest load they will deliver is 20 tonne @300eur

the space i want to do is 11mtrs x 4.5metres and about 3 or 4" depth

would the 20 tonne be enough? - too much? - not enough? ... i cannot even picture what a tonne or 20 tonne looks like building and construction is not my expertise at all bar from digging out the grass that is there and just shovelling in the chippings and then raking them , thats as much as i know what to do :)

Plan B. would be to leave some grass and just gravel a smaller area - I have a number of another guy who can deliver chippings up to 10 tonne in my area.

    thanks for your help

if muddy, put some sort of a membrane under it

to stop weeds coming through? - should I compact the mud underneath the gravel with a whacker machine too or just leave mud as it is?
