    Thanks Kenny.
    Them TVs look great.
I'm liking the look of the Phillips ambi lighting!
Is the nanocell TV worth the extra few quid?
The TV will be on mainly in a dark room so which do you think would look better in terms of picture quality?

    Hi Honda Boi.

The NANO Cell sets are worth the extra as they do have the better image reproduction and more nature colours.
The Philips is very good but the NANO Cell does pip it.

The NANO Cell can also process 4K @ 120HZ and has HDMI 2.1

Perfect Kenny. I want the nanocell so. I'll say it to the missus (the bank manager :D) later. I'm changing my arm but Is €649 the best price?:)

    Hi Honda Boi,

I hope you don't mind me replying on Kennys behalf!

We'll always try to squeeze the prices down for Boardies but unfortunately on that particular model we don't have a huge amount of movement!

We do offer a price beat though so if you see it cheaper elsewhere let us know and we can look at their deal for you!

    Kind regards

    David

Hi sorry to jump in on this thread but are you sure that LG model has HDMI 2.1 and 4K@120Hz? I can't see it listed anywhere and thought only the higher model NANOs had this feature.

    Hi Cunnnifferous.

    Good Spot.

It should have been the 55NANO866 that I put for the HDMI 2.1. Which is priced at 799 (Currently pending Stock)
    https://euro.richersounds.ie/p-204766-lg-55nano866na-55-inch-4k-ultra-hd-hdr-smart-nanocell-led-tv-freeview-hd-freesat-hd.aspx

While several other retailers also say the 796 has HDMI 2.1 without being able to test this I can't confirm as we don't have a next gen console here at the store unfortunately.

I'm in the market for a reasonably priced 55' TV with HDMI 2.1 but I think it's still too new a standard to make it onto the lower range models yet. Anyway thanks for getting back to me and when I do pull the trigger I'll defo be back on to you.

hanks for getting back to us honda boi!

The LGs are great TVs! We actually have deals on a flat, tilting or full motion bracket for this TV. Just under the Buy It Now section there is a special offer for a discounted bracket depending on which one you need!

Let me know what you think!

    Kind regards
