When you say metal it will depend on the thickness, if it is quite light an aviation tin snips with serrated jaws is quite a good tool, otherwise I presume an angle grinder

you can get blades for jigsaws which can cut metal, but my first thought was as above - a metal cutting disc on an angle grinder.
