Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi. Has any one any experience with the trolley type spreader that pulls itself up a field? Are the expensive? What powers them etc

I never had one but looked at them one time years back as an option to put out pig slurry when I kept them
They will only spread liquid or water. they are powered by the pump at the tank and the pressure of the liquid will turn the arms that spreads the water or liquid slurry much like a giant garden sprinkler. it also turns a gear that moves the unit. That gear could turn and reel in a light wire rope attached to something at the end of the field. some newer models might have geared wheels I think.
They were designed for large level fields in hot countries as an irrigation method of watering crops.
Depending on how much you need to get out if it was only soiled water maybe a pump with a filter and a float switch attached to a long pipe might be a cheaper option.
