Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Wasnt it only a couple of years ago some were proposing a weight allowance for female jockeys? Could you imagine Rachael Blackmore with a 5 or 7lb allowance? Champion jock for however long she stayed riding.

Strange run from the fav there.

Never settled - didnt do that at Leop which was slowly run

Then he seemed to stay on a bit after been outpaced by the first 3.

Wouldnt give up on him yet.

I’m nicely in profit with money to withdraw from days 1-3 even with today’s generous bets placed, have had an absolute blast this year!

Since I’m playing with the bookies money, I’ve gone with a load of interesting E/W contenders today.

    13:20 Adagio E/W
13:55 Strong Glance E/W, small stake on Mengli Khan E/W
    14:30 Adrimel E/W and Alaphilippe E/W
15:05 Native River E/W and Royale Pagaille E/W
15:40 Hazel Hill E/W and Mr Mantilla E/W
16:15 Zambella E/W and Magic of Light E/W
    16:50 Martinhal E/W

None of these may come in but it’ll be a fun day nonetheless. I think they have decent placing chances for their odds, especially with lots of extra places on offer today.

Nice start, I’m having brilliant luck this year. Just before the off I also put Haut en Couleurs on an EW as well, so two places from the first race.

Ground to me looks quite soft, certainly softer than some of other days, even though officially G/S. Interestingly, time of that race about 10 seconds slower than Supreme on Tuesday, when official going was soft.

Native River will take them along, A Plus Tard won’t make it. Blackmore will give A Plus Tard the same ride Robbie Power gave Sizing John. This is the best Gold Cup in years, after a couple of very poor renewals this is the strongest field probably since 2008 or 2009.

I can't see Native River taking them along.. Good ground, plus Frodon at least the most likely to go from the front; as it's the only way he can win.. Native River not getting any younger either.

Have laid Mullins for the trainers title. De Bromhead is pushing this close enough, still a live contest imo.

?? ffs, does anyone round here , apart from myself, know anything?
I just want to get the races on the wireless!!

There was one on the Cheltenham website last year.

Backed Moyhenna at 120 in the mares chase. There isn't a whole lot between the entire field and she's somehow far bigger than Cabaret Queen who is 25 despise being a distance behind her two runs back when Moyhenna was just denied over this trip. Trip is on the short side but mares races can throw up funny results anyway and she should outrun her odds

Free to watch on your phone on Betfair or download the racing post app, choose William hill as the bookies for prices, go into a race card and go to live and hit play William hill radio

It would have easily been Elliott if he hadn't been foolish

Took a chance on Oscar Elite at a huge price in the next back up in trip. Looks a bad race for the grade

Not going for originality in the next... Too complicated for me to solve.... Will plump for the jolly of relatively unknown provenance, and will hope that ~3 miles on good ground will see Fakiera prevail @ 7/2...

Sackett 7/1 2.20 Fak. Good course form.

Couple I like at decent prices

    1:55 Buildmeupbuttercup 25/1

13 of the last 17 winners of the 1:55 where ex flat horses. Plenty of places on offer so taken a punt on an ex flat horse trained by our man WPM and ridden by man of moment Dan Mullins

    2:30 Vanillier 20/1

Vanillier, forgive his latest run as Cromwell’s horses weren’t going well at time. He has started to come into form so hopeful this lad can recapture form that see him beat off Stattler previous. Since then he beat Darren’s Hope by 6l who was recently finished 6l behind Black Tears who has since gone on to win the mares.

Decent form & open to improvement. 20s is a big price in a race that recently doesn’t have many fancy winners (double digit winners in 6 of last 7 runs).

    3:40 Latenightpass 25/1

Latenightpass has course & distance form. Trainer has been successful here in the past with 2 winners. Has had 8 runners this year & 5 have placed. Latenightpass is 2 from 2 over Hunter chase & still unexposed really. He recently beat 149 rated The Worlds End which puts him well in there with market principles.

    4:15 Zambella 28/1

Simply because I liked his 5l defeat to Annie Mc the last day who was well touted for this and was a market leading principle. That form puts him in the mix here

Get In there Vanillier!!!! 20s last night

Has he ever won a grade 1 race? I am struggling to think of any.

I’d say that Albert Bartlett will go down as one of the worst of all time. no decent horses will come out of it and I’m including the winner in that even though he hosed up.

Jesus I love you guys. First bet this week. Genuinely know nothing about horseracing. Had a 10 minute look over this thread. And put a fiver on Vanillier and €5 each way on Oscar Elite. Put €3 on Pats Fancy, don't know where he came.

    Lucky start.

Thought he would run a race at the price which he did untill they turned in and he got swallowed up. Traded 5 IR so was a nice trade if nothing else

Have hated brian Hughes ever since he got beat on Attaglance at the festival seven years ago when he should have won

Unplaced in a claiming hurdle at Fakenham there earlier. What every jockey dreams of

Brian Hughes is a top jock, but I don't think it's at all unusual that he's not at Cheltenham.. Don't think he was there last year either.. The smattering of trainers he rides for just don't have that kind of ammunition... D McCain , Brian Ellison , Charlie Longsdon etc... The list goes on..

Big priced tips coming in this week has been unreal, well done to all, sounds like a lot of people are having a successful punting week so far :)

20 Irish winners so far, a record year already with still 4 races to go.

Been backing AL BOUM PHOTO for weeks at this stage. Rachael has me spooked with the form she is in but I'm sticking with ABP. My 2nd biggest bet ever so will be the icing on an already great week if he wins.

On A Plus Tard but couldn't resist a nibble of Royale Pagaille.

Yeah, think so. And the money some of those english yards fork out on point to pointers and young novices here, and they dont even get the best. The irish making up for the grim years of the 80s and early 90s!
