Wasn't one of the accusers a former PA for Madonna? If so, does it bode well that she had a satisfactory working relationship with someone who is a known diva but couldn't tolerate working with Meghan for very long?

No. She was a nanny to Robbie Williams children and was hired by Knauf because she was a pal of his. She was asked to leave because she was unqualified and unable to do the job she was meant to do.

Edit. She is back nannying now.

Not quite sure if she was a PA but yes she also worked for Madonna.
    Melissa Touabti is her name

Why is it always okay to be mean about the accusers but heaven-forbid that any of us say anything about Harry or Meghan?

This has been pretty much the thread as regards anyone that has been quite scathing and critical of the pair of them and their behaviour. You are accused of hating strangers.

I'm not using unproven accusations to beat anyone over the head with.

It says a lot that so many left, some after a very short time. As part of their contract, they probably signed ndas so we probably won't hear much if anything of what went on behind the scenes.

Do we know William and Katie's staff turnover or Prince Edwards, Fergie's etc

I can't see Harry & Megan going the distance, too much turmoil, too much pressure, and I can't see Harry settling down in the States long term.

Well William and Kate have had the same nanny for years.

That's one person out of a staff of how many?

It's seems staff turnover is pretty normal in royal households.

I haven't heard of any rumours involving aggro regarding their staff.

I haven't heard of any rumours involving aggro regarding their staff.

It says in the article that staffs' noses were out of joint because they felt like Katie's mother was interfering and Kate was doing too much herself. One of the aides worked for the Queen for years and quit over it.
If those are the petty reasons staff are quiting it's no wonder they go through staff like a dose of salts.

Some people will throw anyone they can at all under the bus — even children, if it means protecting and preserving Meghan’s saintly image.

Yea, I heard some staff threw a strop because Meghan would not wear a hat to some function the Queen would be at!

Would you mind backing up that statement please. Who threw what children under a bus?

    Sure.

Why was Meghan the one who was trying to pacify other people's children at a fitting for her wedding. Where were their parents. Seriously, she was left to deal with about 6 or 7 children under the age of 7 on her own, particularly if a couple of them are difficult?

In the meantime, Meghan is preparing for her wedding and has all this hassle from her father. Would it be any surprise if she was a bit exasperated if kids were moaning about not wearing socks?

So, now it was Charlotte crying? She had just gone 3. Is this the Charlotte that told the press they were not coming to Louis christening is now being intimidated by a 4 year old?

Probably Charlotte and Ivy are 'demanding' children or proper little madams which hopefully they will both grow out of.

    There you go.

Please, for the sake of sanity..

Can we all agree that Meghan was not left alone trying to pacify 6-7 children

This did not, would not, and could not happen......stop even considering it happened.

    Yes.
    Protocol
Something neither you not Megan seem to understand.
Luckily there are people that can instruct Megan in the things she doesn't understand :)

The loss of their HRH status might make them less marketable if Americans understand the significance.

They won't have the publicity of swanning back for glamorous official occasions, and will be in the background at family occasions now that they're minor royals.

Still, it will give them the opportunity to feed their victim complex and perception of racism.

I think Americans love a title, but they don't understand the hierarchy in a monarchy nor would they understand the significance of losing the HRH status. As Meghan would retain the title Duchess of Sussex even in the event of a divorce, I think them not having the HRH title will matter all that much in the US.

It's fairly clear that they did think they could come back for the high-profile glittery occasions, balcony appearances beside the Queen but offload the day to day grind of ribbon cutting and handshakes in Huddersfield or Slough. And it's clear now that they wanted to monetise the Sussex Royal trademark, and capitalise on it by using it for lucrative media deals.

I don't think that Harry is the brains of the operation and Meghan vastly underestimated the Queen and her sense of duty towards protecting the Monarchy against anyone who wants to turn their status into a cash grab.

Public interest in them will wane once they aren't at royal events - Covid has actually kept that at bay for them, but once the crowds turn out again for the various royal events and they aren't on the balcony waving with the rest of them interest in them will fade. All they really had that set them apart from everyone else famous was their royal lifestyle. They've lost their USP.

Even their current income stream is on unsafe ground in todays cancel culture. All it would take is one scandal with something or someone they've lent their brand to and they would be in big trouble should the likes of Oprah shun them and would have nothing to fall back after all their bridge burning.

Will they come home for the funeral? They'll be in the background as minor royals.

I'd imagine the serious reworking of the logistics due to Covid will give them ample opportunity to play the victim due to their "unfair/racist exclusion".

I saw that earlier, I always liked him for his attitude, he didn't pretend to be interested or pc when he wasn't.

    Great age too.

I'd say some GP in California is frantically writing out an Unfit-to-Fly cert for a certain Duchess. ;)
