Good article in the Telegraph describing the background about security i.e. Queen was adamant that Sussexes be protected, was of paramount importance, Home Office leant on and pressed to increase parameters given the new post-Megxit circumstances and extremist threats. Contrasting against Harrys "total abandonment" as option one description in Spare. Quelle surprise. More playing the victim. “Look. Please. Meg and I don’t care about perks, we care about working, serving – and staying alive”.

The final paragraph tells it like it is.

"While the scale of the Duke’s legal battles has at times appeared ever-expanding, those public court cases do have at least one useful outcome. Document by document, evidence after testimony, the truth – rather than “their truth” – will slowly emerge."

I've not been on here for a while so imagine my surprise when I saw there was at least 10 or 15 pages to catch up on.

Its seriously impressive. However, I do think its a wasted effort though. You could present a signed statement, coupled with raw video testimonials from Harry and Meghan confirming they are grifters and owning up to all the lies and spin and still you would get the same old replies, that it was all Piers Morgan's fault, or the RF are racist or the high-speed chase actually happened etc etc and Harry and Meghan are poor misunderstood flowers, trampled under the cruel feet of a racist monarchy and evil spitting paparrazzi. That everything they say is 100% factual and anything anyone else says to dispute that is wrong. Wrong, wrong wrong. And racist. Probably.

I get you guys are trying to kill with kindness and all, there is significant effort put in to calmly and rationally explain everything with crayons and sock puppets, but its an unfair fight at this point. If this were a boxing match the ref would have stopped it a long time ago, its shooting fish in a barrel, taking candy from a baby. Its painfully evident that they are just trolling and its low-effort trolling at that. No valid counterpoints or thoughtful insights are being presented.

Come on H&M simps, up your game, you are getting demolished out there.

I agree. As pointed out it's at a point now where H&M could issue a mongrammed statement saying they were bluffing, making it all up, telling porkies and I'd fully expect the mental gymnastics to be along the lines of that they were financially cut off, they need to protect their kids, that this was clearly a RF master plan to embarrass them all along, that they could have been Hollywood elite except for the British press and they were "forced to write" that statement because Charles is Weak (and Racist), William is a Psycho, Kate is a Bitch (and Racist) and Camilla is a Drunk, they all need H&M because they know the monarchy is doomed and they need some Sussex dynamism...etc. It's ridiculous and there is clearly no grey area which has been quite obvious for a long time.

I find it quite remarkable that Omid Scobie can fundamentally change his story - the Dutch manuscript and all the assertions he made, culminating in this complete volte-face now would be a case study in his twists and turns as he lies his way through life. He completely lacks any moral compass and his Category 5 lying shows he has no shame, either. No surprise, then, that Meghan has used him as a puppet. Unbelievable!

The Telegraph article, as @valoren has posted above, is a very useful summation of the security/RAVEC matter. It seems to me that Harry's version of events and the narrative he has spun around it is slowly, but surely, unravelling.

So there’s a contemporaneous letter from the time of the year long break in 2020 showing that the then queen was very much of the opinion that security needed to be kept in some form ? That’s a bit tricky, but the whole narrative from harry and Megan is that the family forced them out. That’s not holding up the further we get away from their decision.

I think the Queen wanted to make sure H&M, given the developing circumstances, were to be protected with it left up to the government (subsequent governments) to handle it (as they do anyway). Bear in mind that this was being done while H&M were in the midst of a let's become billionaires and break the internet plan. They moved to Canada and were being protected until public opinion there swayed. Why should public money be used to pay for non-working royals? They were given a time frame as to when security would end and iirc they had circa six weeks of notice regarding this. Now faced with a change in circumstances Charles had already given them 2 million while they also had a year to trash out what their plans would be. It's not presumptuous to think this money was for security costs because protecting them was according to the Queen of "paramount importance". Also Harry only had what his Mum left him (Hint: "only" tens of millions). So he had the means to pay for top notch security himself wherever they were. So now in America he has private armed security. When he travels home to the UK a risk assessment is performed and appropriate security is provided. Other countries do that too e.g. Germany and Holland providing local security for the Invictus Games. He doesn't pay for any of that.

He says he was born into the risk and wants his family to appreciate his home country. It is thus his responsibility to alert the government about any plans he has to be in the UK because of the risk he himself acknowledges. RAVEC in this case is just doing its job i.e. tell us what the plans are and we'll sort it out. It all contrasts with what is becoming more obviously a victim playing narrative. They wanted to serve and work but were faced with total abandonment by his family, they got cut off financially, they took a freedom flight to Canada away from a racist press and public, security was pulled there at short notice and they were in a panic, they were saved by Tyler Perry who housed them, the government removed his security in the UK which would put his family at risk and so he has to sue them to protect the family, they won't even let him pay...etc

Its possible the photo was a mere snapshot taken out of context, that perhaps those empty seats actually filled with people moments later. That would be a compelling counter point. Thats never what we get though.

Really good trolling requires a level of buy in I think. Some factual nuggets, or interesting take on a subject to sucker in the readers. Much like what narcissists do. They can take the most innocuous social interaction and weave a compelling, almost plausible fiction around it to manipulate and deceive.

I think when you also engage with PR specialist agencies as they have done, you’re never going to get genuineness and clarity - you’re going to get “spin” naturally enough - but if you spin it too much and it becomes unbelievable or you try too hard to manufacture something ( like their visit to a school which seemed to be incredibly manufactured ) the press won’t like that and naturally enough, they’ll expose the falseness of the set up.

Indeed, and also, if you’re just not particularly likeable as they find themselves to be right now, even your standard PR efforts will be criticised.

And I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with PR- all famous people use PR- most of us accept that and treat it accordingly - but when you try and use PR too much to make yourself out to be something you’re just not, then that’s where it can go against you. It’s like makeup- a little goes a long way 😀

Thinking back to the empty seats at Wimbledon and it serves as a good example of someone not being able to get out of their own way (or to be cynical, deliberately pulling a stunt like this to fuel tabloids). It was Meghans own private business to go and see Serena Williams and adequate security would be in place for it but then you see the optics of the empty seats, you consider that Wimbledon has "The Queue" and so to think that a lot of seats at one of the main courts where the greatest female tennis player of all time is playing would be empty makes no sense. You then conclude that the seats were deliberately requested to be kept empty (which denies those queuing up a seat).

From this then stems clap back, criticism and accusations of diva like behavior on social media and in tabloids. You can't then claim you're being unfairly treated when you have caused that treatment in the first place. You'd get the media contrasting this with Kate, the week before, going to see a Brit player at a minor court and while this is also Palace PR driven accusations of favoritism subsequently arise e.g. Our future Queen supporting our own versus the Diva Duchess clearing out the public. It is stuff like that which delights the tabloid press.

I mentioned cynicism and it was so glaringly awful from a PR point of view that you wonder was it actually done deliberately i.e. a compare and contrast stunt to trigger the the toxic press to attack Meghan who can then use that as more fuel to Megxit, become a billionaire, break the internet etc.
