Following other league performances from this season though. We've looked incredibly error prone at times.

Leinster look quite good in defence when Cardiff go through the phases. We're winning the collisions and pushing them backwards. But Cardiff's kicking game has really been on point. They've spotted space in the backfield and exploited it, pushing us back.

Strange first half. I felt Leinster were the better side for most of it. Making lots of metres with ball in hand, finding gaps in the defence and offloads sticking to receivers.

However, we've made a mess of things in the Cardiff 22. Luke McGrath has been especially poor in his delivery.

Very poor performance by Leinster in the first half. Very rusty and so sloppy.

Very un Leinster at the moment. I'd imagine arse kicking at half time.

McGrath and Byrne aren't playing well as a combo. Passing errors from the former and the latter looks to be sitting too deep.

That being said, these errors are fixable. They created a lot of chances in that half which weren't taken. If they can tighten up that looseness they've a great chance in winning. Cardiff have struggled for momentum in phase play and I'd Leinster can shire up the backfield that'll limit Cardiff's attacking options even further.

I will say this. Ruddock is something else. When he retires it will take a great man to fill his boots.

Cardiff still exploiting Leinsters too deep backfield and the scrum goes backwards against the head.

Bewilderingly bad start to this half. Missed tackles, poor positioning, handling errors. Was hardly a champagne first half but my word they've started so badly.

Bit ridiculous that penalty when the player pinged was getting knelt on by a Cardiff player.

Leinster do appear to have gotten on Adamson's bad side at this point, which we don't normally do with refs - at least not this early. Not blaming him, we need to be putting a better image in his head.

A Cardiff player used hands in the ruck to drag it back over their side. That's a Leinster penalty surely?
